ok, my car still runs like ass. It idles now, but still acts like it has a dead miss when the engine gets put under load. I just put on new intake gaskets from toyota, checked out the idle control valve, afm, and tried a new cps but the car still runs terrible. Spark plugs and wires are next on the list, but i'm almost out of places to look. Any ideas.

A miss under load is usually electrical, specifically ignition. The spark should be bright white/blue. A yellowish tint is a weak coil. But plugs and wires should be checked first.

Have you checked the timing?

an update: Today i changed out the injectors with another pair, redid the timing (again), cleaned the corrosion off of the alternator wires, resealed the intake, idle control valve, etc, and tried to start it again. Now it won't even start. It fires up for less than a sec, and dies immediatly after. It has always showed a code 24, but now that is followed with a 51, and a 14 (ignition problem?) . I know 51 has something to do with the a/c being taken off, but why does that show up now, since it has been off since we got it running 3 months ago. None of these showed up until i pulled the injectors. I have checked out everything per tsrm, and it checked out fine, but the car won't run at all now. Any ideas?

bzzzzzzzzzzt wrong. did you by any chance take off your TPS?
also, you cant set the timing until the TPS is adjusted and functioning.

14 means the ignitor did not respond to the ECU request for igntion. As indicatded on todays posts in this section, and the TSRM. Your ignitor could have been dying, and now dead, but usually they dont missfire in my experience, they just quit working. And a 51 and 14 indicate everything is not fine as TSRM says it isnt.
