Ok, at random times, when the engine is hot or cold it turns and keeps turning and wont fire up then when I stop every once and a while it will sputter like it wants to start then stops, then when I try again, it will turn for a minute, then start and run real strong. But whats puzzling to me is sometimes it fires right up. I have checked all my wireing and my plugs and wires are almost new. Can anyone help me out with this one??

You should take your starter down and get it tested. Kragen or any autoparts store should be able to do it. Also check the cable from your positive battery terminal to your starter. Check to make sure its on the starter tight and that the wire itself hasnt corroded with age. Dont forget about the little clip that goes to the starter as well.

It sounds to me like your starter is fixing to go out. That's going to cost you 100$ and a core charge. But you shoould be able to fix it with an 18 pack.

You wont have to replace your starter if you live on a hill.

It's not the starter if it engages. Which it's doing. Probably a fuel problem. Could be timing. Clogged injectors. Clogged cat, etc...

Exactlly, I hate to disagree but I think his starter is fixing to go out. I give a week to a week and a half. I'd lay money on it. Hey It's just my opinion and there is a reason it is free!

Next time it is doing it, pull a plug wire and check that you have spark and pull a sparkplug and see if it is wet with fuel. No spark - check the igniter. No fuel - check the fuel system. If the starter turns the engine over every time you try, it is not the starter.

Ok, so I found out what my problem was, I was out driving (still hard to get started) and on my way back home the car dies and and wont start, Im 99.9% sure its the fuel pump, BoltPride05 if your having the same symptoms that I was having then I suggest you check it. Oh and getting my supra on a tow truck lowered with a body kit was the biggest PITA ever. lol
