Ok, just within the last day or so the supras been hard to start all the sudden, normaly it starts within a instant, and the temp. around here has been the same so I know its not that. andy ideas?
Ok problem 2, Ive noticed on the highway when I nail it to the floor the rpm's stay at the same spot while the engine is roaring and then kicks in. (basicly has a bit of a lag) any help would be great.

when I changed it it was completely normal, but I did notice that my throttle cable seems pretty loose, could that be it?

I have had a hard start problem as of late too. It only happens on the first start of the day and then after that everything is fine. I turn the key, then it stumbles and sputters for a second like it is not getting fuel and then fires and idles normal!! WTF!! The temp. has been rising around here lately so I don't know if that has something to do with it!!
No idea if you guys are in a snow zone part of the country but someone recently posted about Gas companys changing from winter fuel to summer fuel could that be part of it?

I don't think I am in a snow zone because I saw about
.00001 oz. of snow this past winter.

Ok, I got it aparently my throttle cable was a bit too tight so maybe the engine was getting too much air and not enough gas to fire as well? but after I ajusted the cable it fired right up and i took it out to test and its running like it use to. Oh and IJ you might be right we had a shit load of snow here this winter so that could have been part of it too.

my car has those exact problems with cold start, i am also interested in why this is happening... I have already replaced the CSI time switch sensor, and the ecu temp sensor, cleaned the CSI... didn't help at all, in fact it almost seems a bit worse... :(

mine wines like a baby calf fairly loudly on cold starts, and does it till it's warm and then it is fine.

I asked one of the better techs at my dealership and he seems to think my hard start problems comes from my fuel pump bleeding off pressure during the night while the car is sitting, which makes perfect sense to me, so it looks like I may be in the fuel pump market in the near future.

yea, deffently. from my other post these few problems Ive had led to the fuel pump craping out on me and having to be towed home. Well, at least its a good time for an upgrade. lol

Well I guess while we are talking about fuel pumps can anyone make a recommendation for a new fuel pump. One from the dealership even with my discount is going to cost me $210 and I am not sure what aftermarket options are out there!!

Alright I look around an found that 935 Motodsports carries the Walbro 255 HP fuel pump with a install kit for $105. I know I don't need the extra fuel right now but it would be good to know that I have the extra fuel capacity for future upgrades. I just need to know can I run this pump with my stock configuration and not run rich? If not can someone let me know some different options to look at?
