Hello...,
My name is mike. Some of you may know me from the hpf supra forums. I drive when it runs...., A 91 supra 7mge. I came over and scoped this sight out and saw this section. I'm a bit of a smart ass, but I always have fun as the intent. I am all about learning from anyone that will speak to me about how to better my ride. I am also into helping out where and whenever I can. I have no mods at this point and time. I don't want to gt swap or any of that. I want to build a clean cut, straight lined, neo- traditional hot rod. Thanks for your time.

Hey man thats an awesome way to show your ride. Thats something ive noticed about the N/As here. Most all of them are cleaner then many turbos. And hell, if your car looks good it doesnt matter if its turbo or not. And its nice to see a clean Supra.

BTW: Where in Ky are you located?

Turbo or not,

-Non-turbo are still quick.
-you can still get speeding tickets
-you still look good
-you have a supra.
-Period

:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

To quote a famous hero (well not really)

"silly human, your turbo's can not harm me, don't you know who the fuck I am?"

I'm located in Hopkinsville, KY. It's right on the border of Tenn. I'm right next door to Clarksville. It's hard talking supra and sifting throught the turbo shit. Half the the things the gt's are talking about have nothing to do with my car. This is my first toyota. My fiance and I bought it a few months ago.
Just like many of you the car has it's own unique set of issues. The car has seemingly always been taken care of. The last owner was basically a kid of 24 that I bought it from. I thought I was buying a daily driver and it has been broken down for going on 3 wks, now. I'm excited....., I"m going to shut up and do some reading and learn from the lot of you and teach when I can. Thanks.

Atleast I showed the engine. And that is not bad at all compared to some I have seen. This is my project car. You're seeking 375 hp.. I'm seeking daily driverdom and then I'll get down to the more fine points....., but thanks for being positive.

Oh I intend to do upgrades. And that is a nice gem you have there. I think wer'e going in the same direction. My main problem is that I am a driver............, NOT! a mechanic. Alot of people won't even show there engine compartments on first pic. I thought it was pretty stand up...., balls' out. If you will.

YA thanks man, If you had a white stripe you would wonder if you liked the black one better. The white cracks on it and it's black underneath. I'm digg'n your wheels like a grave, dude. Those are seriously the best looking saw blades I have seen on a supra. heh I don't like sawblades, either.

very nice, that looks very similar to a white supra i seen a few time by my house, last summer. As i look at the one pic the licience plate appears to say jefferson co.Did you purchase this car from louisville because it looks dead on the car i seen. I always wondered what happened to it guess this is it.

Thank you, 89joe. She's laid up right now waiting for me to do some work on her. I have been thinking about using my GI bill to go back to school to learn how to work on her. I appreciate all of the compliments, gentlemen.

Welcome to our little forum man! So what exactly is wrong with your car? Maybe we can tell you how to fix it here

supramacist
04-09-2006, 01:49 PM
LOL.. a list of things. The thing it's laid up with right now is a spinning clutch. Some type of body fluid has leaked onto my clutch causing it to spin. I assumed that it was the rear main seal. But, after jacking the car up, it looks like I have an oil pan that is leaking. But the engine leaks oil in places I have yet to spot. Jack the car up and undo the drive shaft. Break into the bell housing. get all of that seperated. Break into the clutch, make sure it's wet. But after jacking it up and letting it back down the f ucking battery is dead. It has been dumping on me since I bought it and is showing no signs of stopping. I love the car but it's getting out of hand around here. I'm a driver....., not a mechanic. I can do regular things, I have regular tools.

Start at the motor and work your way through.Get it so it runs good, then get the tranny in order.Get it to go and then work on stopping...lol crappy advice, huh? sorry..

LOL..., the car runs as it sits....., but the clutch spins. So in this condition the more you drive it the less distance it will travel before it just rev's at an idle.
