ok when i start the motor it starts smooth. idles good but when it warms up a little to reg. temp it starts missing like hell. sputtering and shit. and when you give the car steady gas it will go to about 2k then cut out and drop back to 1k. i know i need to rewire the ks but would this cause all of these probs? it has new plugs and wires. any ideas?

It is the throttle sensor. I just had the same problem last week!!! Exact same thing. You know its on the throttle body. Get a used one...super cheap. Hope this helps.

i was looking at mine today, and there is a yellow mark on it. i guess where it was supposed to be. but it was way off and the bottom screw was loose. how do you set it where it needs to be? also when i set it to the yellow mark it idled at like 2k and wouldnt come down. whats up?

From the factory the yellow mark indicates the sensor should be at the top. Basically just keep it in the middle of the two slots on either side. When you put it back and it idled @ 2000 RPM this is a strong indication that the throttle sensor is toast. Of course you need two screws as well. It is cheap to change with a used one, Try it!! LMK
