Hi, I am Aaron, owner of Driftmotion. I have been working on cars for years but we started our actual company a little over a year ago. We have been selling parts and services through the forums for a long time and we have many happy customers. Customers are friends and our goal is to help you out and make you happy. We are located in Pomona, CA. Our website is www.driftmotion.com We pride ourselves on doing the job right, shipping things on time, offering great prices, and helping the Supra community in every way we can. If something is not right on an install and there is no good info about it, we spend the time to work out a solution and post pics and explainations of what we did to fix it. Our customer cars are our main source of income, and we work full time. We install what we sell. We spend time answering questions online and on the phone, our phone numbers are on the website, 7 days a week. I drive a 88 7m Supra.

well i think my 7m has a rod knock i was hoping it was somethin with the clutch so i took all that out and it still makes the noise, do you guys sell 7ms as just a good block and head? like no turbo, intake maifold ect. the olny reason i ask is i have all that stuff from my stock motor and i bought a big horse power freaks turbo kit, and am looking at a ron r intake.

I have a new intercooler to announce:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v379/BigAaron/driftmotion/DSC03800.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v379/BigAaron/driftmotion/DSC03801.jpg
It's only $10 more then the smaller one ($230). It has a large bracket on the top which may fit purfect on the Supra, not too sure yet. 2.5" inlet/outlet. You would have to move the oil cooler, but the stock oil cooler basically blows goats anyways :)
You would still have the ease of routing the piping, but with a larger core for better cooling. The core is a little thinner then the spearco style (3") but obviously has a little more surface area

The intercooler kits have upper and lower pipes that fit stock type intercoolers? The pipes don't have beaded ends?

Big A

No they piping is cut-to-fit so beads on the ends would not work. With the good silicone hose and t-bolt clamps I don't forsee any problems with hoses popping off under 18-20psi. You could possibly make your own bends on the ends in a few places, you don't have to have a bead all the way around to keep them on.
bluemax
04-25-2006, 03:12 PM
I wasn't worried about the beads.
What does the kit run from? Upper and Lower pipes? Replace the 3000 pipe? BOV flange?
I've got stock piping with the Spearco intercooler.

Well all together it would probably run about $275 for all the parts you would need to make a complete 7m ic kit from the tb to the turbo.

No, but if you were going to purchase multiple items I could possibly work out a better price depending on what you would like to order. We have a low margin on everything though. We will always consider price matching if you can find something for less.

I have been asked a few times: "why don't you have more stuff on your website?"
The reason for that is we don't list things for sale we can't get within a few days, and if it is something that is special order, we say so. We will call you even if your item will be delayed a few days. Many major websites list many things that will take several weeks, or months for them to get, and they know this in advance, but you don't usually know until you pay for it. Of course there are items that can be back ordered, but we don't bill your credit card until we have the item ready to ship. You can cancel if there will be an extra wait time, and you will not be billed at all.
Just thought I should explain that.

These are a high quality replacement for your old tired leaking ps hose. We braize on AN fittings with the best high silver content stuff, and the hose is rated for 2000psi working pressure.
I need to do this on an exchange basis, I would need the banjo fittings back from you when you purchase one. It will be $75 shipped with exchange, and $100 shipped without exchange (limited availability).

Many people are running their 1jz mk3 with no oil pressure gauge. This is because the 7m sender will not fit behind the ac pump on the 1jz. We came up with this and use it on our 1jz swaps. Just screw it into the block, screw the 7m oil pressure sender into it. Hook the wire that was for the 1jz oil pressure switch to the 7m sender and you are done. $25 shipped anywhere in the US.

Is the Tial copy good?
Should i just save up and get the real deal (do you offer that too?)
btw your 7/16" kit is great, I was scared at first to drill into my head, but it was easy! Wondering if i should pick up some locking washers for it though?

I run a Tial copy on my car, and I love it. I can get the real Tial though, I will check tomorrow.
I'm glad you like the stud kit! It's pretty easy to do, just be sure to drill straight and keep it square at 90 deg from the surface.
The nuts are lock nuts already. The lock washers would probably not lock properly on the cast manifold anyway.

Took some engines over to our machine shop, and I took a few pics for anyone who might be interested in what equipment is used for our builds. The surfacing machine alone retails for around $100,000! There is no shop using better equipment to build a 7m.

:biglaugh: To tell you the truth, we do basically the same machine work on a 300hp engine as we do on a 500+hp engine. The difference is in the upgraded parts like pistons and rods etc....

Advanced Design
One ECU fits all. Just like the 8860. There is no need to send your ECU back for re-programming when you want to fit it to a different engine. The same ECU can be re-programmed by the user to suit almost any engine.
EMS has lead the way in user-friendly ECU management software. Our Windows software is developed by professional software developers who have experience in engine tuning and advanced Windows programming. This becomes evident when you tune any of our systems.
Download latest software
Key Features
4 User Definable outputs can programmed as PWM or digital. These can be used for controlling thermo fans, Idle controls, variable cams, fuel pumps, Boost Control, Variable water spray, etc.
Connects to most sensors. This means that you can use your existing sensors with the Stinger.
Adjustable RPM and load points. The Stinger 4 offers 40 RPM points with a 1 RPM resolution and 21 load points with a 0.1 percent resolution. This provides a tuning grid of 840 points. Of course you don't have to use this many. You can define any number of RPM and Load positions you require to tune with. This provides non compromised tuning ability. The advanced micro code will perform a 3 dimensional interpolation between all load points.
Advanced trigger circuitry. Automatically filters trigger inputs for noise ensuring that the trigger signal is always 100% accurate. This combined with the advanced auto signal tracking and true zero crossing detection with magnetic sensors always provides accurate timing at all engine speeds.
Advanced Micro Code EMS have put great effort in programming their micro code to ensure it stays in exact synchronization with the engine. This minimizes the risk of misfired and lean strokes therefore increasing engine life and providing more power. The system also performs a 3 dimensional interpolation between load points to ensure that your engine is getting what you tuned it to receive.

We have the prototype done, and it was installed on Jose's car last night. The next one is going to be shipped out to Rakassan on Fri. We are having the main part of the piping made from 3/8" stainless tubing. The return line is going to be fuel hose instead of braided. That is because the return line is low pressure and braided is not needed, but it also keeps the cost down. The kit will include the Aeromotive AFPR, the bracket and screws for the AFPR to mount to the firewall, strain relief clips to mount to the valve cover bolts, fuel line for the return, and all the necessary fittings. The kit will be $260, plus paypal fee and $10 shipping 2-3 day in the US, $20 shipping FedEx ground to Canada.
You can choose black with black face pressure gauge, or chrome with black face.

To be honest, the stock throttle body flows plenty for the stock intake manifold. On a turbocharged engine the throttle body upgrade isn't going to help much unless you are making big hp numbers.
