Pulled the cluster today and drove the car. i could tell that the speedo cable was not moving. I was going to replace it but cant I just buy a $100 gtech and that will tell me constant MPH? Anyone know if any of these performance meters can tell constant speed?

No, they can tell you elapsed speed, virtual speed from calculations, but not continous speed.
Check your speedo cable and if it is broken, buy a new one. If not, get a new speedo.

I use a GPS as a speedo as the digital readout means you're not trying to drive the needle and can focus more on driving then trying to not get busted.

This isn't a parts counter rip. They gave you what you needed to get you started. So you can learn how to do this shit on your own.

The whole point in the forum is people helping people out. He's asking a question cause he wants help and I don't see how your post has anything to do with helping him.

I seldom come over to this forum but I'm obliged to point out the speed sensor in your instrument cluster is used by the ecu for many things besides cruise control. It's driven by the speedo cable so no matter what you do try and keep that part working.

seems to me it gave him direction in the way of taking what was given and RESEARCHING it out and coming back. How did your post help him???

Relax supramacist. You came into this thread with an attitude, expect to get one back. And yes, this is a forum you come to for help with feedback for parts used and to learn how to do what he needs to do.

I hear what you're saying and agree somewhat. But what I disagree on is not worth the argument. I'll check my attitude at the door a bit more often, apologies.
