Was rear-ended on the third day of ownership. that hole in the front bumper is from an SUV's tow hitch:nono: ...Was considered totalled by insurance, but I took the money ($1200) and drove it like that for over a year...

These are some pics i took the day I brought it home! The car is currently down because it developed rod knock, but I have a JDM NA motor on a stand and Im doing a 1/2 NA-T. Ive got the ct26 bolted up and the oil (still got to do the return) and coolant lines done. 2mm cometic is in and bolted down. Still have some seals to change out and need a clutch and some other fuel components and I should be in business. Def the best 1000 ive ever spent

I noticed all the NA's on here are VERY clean. I see beaten GTE's all the time, ripped seats, badly faded paint, but most of the NA's I see are in pretty good condition. keep up the good work guys.

Here's my baby! I'm so happy I get to show her off! Hah, basically I've spent a lot of my money on replacing interior pieces and tryin to get it back to as close to factory spec as I can (basically just nice looking). I'm also going 1/2NA-T, got the CT26 sittin right next to me and everything else I need, just need an intercooler. But my car is in the shop now, got a new power steering rack and pinion, spec stage 2 clutch and the 3.91 LSD put in, along with a major tune up (new timing belt and water pump and some other goodies). I think I might hold off on the NA-T if I can still break it loose pretty easy. Anyways, here's the pics! Oh and my name is Derek by the way.

My car is still automatic, but that should change really soon. I've given up on the idea of swapping the motor, because I've seen how much money is needed and although I have it, I have other plans and I want to save money... but I do hate the auto tranny and I'm looking to swap at least that! Shouldn't be too expensive. And a couple of mods like intake and header.. should be OK I guess.

I bought it as a bone stock '88, and although I have not yet touched the engine, I've done a lot of changes in the past few months (bought it about 4-5 months ago).

KYB GR-2 shocks.
Eibach Pro Kit springs.
18x9.5 rear 18x8.5 front Made in Japan rims (honestly, don't know the brand! Bought them used for a good price, they seem to have never been repaired, and after the paint/polish, they look kickass).
91 GA70 front bumper.
Euro yellow fog lights.
Clear turn signals.
Hella Housing H4 conversion with 80/100W Optilux bulbs.
Bride Steering wheel (looks good for $15 bucks), with Momo Hub adapter (at least I can fit any of the "good" aftermarket wheels whenever I want).
New e-brake handle and new e-brake boot.
The Pioner MP3 player was also my choice. :P
The 89-92 climate control was also me.
The JDM 89-92 tails too (first mod I did actually!)
89-92 JDM mouldings (no rear side-markers).
2.5" custom exhaust with crappy muffler (I should change it, because I don't like how it vibrates inside the car).

I guess that's about it. Besides some maintenance stuff like the hood struts and other crap. Damn, makes me sad to think I've already spent so much, and the car is still pretty slow, heh. I'll go manual tranny AND a few BPU's to at least like my car! A Nissan Altima 2.5 crapped all over me the other day :(

I'm changing my mind on a DAILY basis, this is funny, it even makes ME laugh. Today, I want a 1JZ in my car. Yesterday I wanted to only swap trannies and stay N/A. Tomorrow I'll probably want a 7M-GTE. The day after, I will probably want a 1UZ-FE. Then, I will maybe want a 7M-GE-T .. and the cycle keeps repeating. LOL.

Actually, to be honest, I haven't even considered the NA-T setup. I haven't read it very carefuly, but I saw the parts list was long, so I said to myself "maybe it's even cheaper to just get a 7M-GTE" ... heh. :-)

Yes I am in the process of doing a motor swap, but it is from a 7mge to a 7mge-t. You should check my other thread out about my little project. Im using turbo components on my new GE block. I figured since im in the process of it and ive done quite a bit of homework on the subject I should be able to help out

And astigracing, your car is quite nice as well. I cant wait until Im finished turboing my motor and drop it in. Im def putting h&r springs on and some 18s. the h&r's are hands down the superior spring when it comes to the amt they drop the car, imo.

it's a gray interior...I should have posted some interior pics. The exaust is very loud...like to where it sets car alarms off when I take it up to 2 1/2-3k in a parking lot. The interior was burgendy, but I had the gray one from the wrecked supra and spent all summer changing them out...thanks...

I was only going about 25-30, but I turned left into a speeding car. I didn't get hurt at all thanks to a seatbelt.My cell phone came from the back seat and hit the windshield which cracked it. The airbag burned my arm a little, but besides being shaken up I was out eating pizza that night with friends.

Well, this car went away in about August of 2003. It was hit while parked by some young dumb girl that thought it was necessary to answer her cell phone that was ringing on the floor of her car. It was my 3rd overall. My current is a GTE, but that isnt what makes it a Supra to me. It is the only picture I have of it anymore. I have various engine (not album material) pics.

lol..... yeah..well they dont quite work the best when the trunk consealer cover is hooked on...but yeah they work pretty good i guess. the hood struts leave something to be desired...i keep a stick in my car to hold up the hood becase sometimes it won't stay up on it's own...and i dont like it when it hits me on the head....

thanks for looking, and i didn't KNOW about those... are those exclusive to the euro version of the car or did the 89+ version get an upgrade with cornering lights??...because my mom's van has lights that illuminate to the sides when her blinkers are on for extra visibility... what do the clear part of your lights do?

I meant the lights/reflectors (not sure which) on the back... look at the red and white lights on either side of the license plate. wrong country in these pics i think, but same kinda thing...yours are both red though. (the little red rectanglular lights below your license plate)

And btw, my car is actually from 1987, though the front is new, because one of the previous owners obviously had a bump :P And looking at the other cars in Estonia, the white lights seem to be Euro. This is also logical, because yellow lights are only allowed to be used as turning lights. So the white part is used as normal white light :D
And I haven't seen a reflector on rear side moulding in my country, so this thing is maybe American?(I see u have it :D)

Don't know anything more than I said(fog light switch switches the reds on) and the both rights ones are burnt out i guess, and they are no signal lights :P. But this is an idea1:evil2:

SILV- Supras Invade Las Vegas. It's a annual event that takes place in Las Vegas. It has all kinds of activites. Drag, dyno, race, scenic drive, and a thing called "Show & Shine". Basically a chance to show off your car, and or look at other supras. All and all it's a nice getaway, plus wth the atmostsphere of Vegas! :icon_bigg

There's mostly GTE's going with the caravan that I go with every year. But we also have the people who go in Mk2's. But this year will be a first for Bernie. She's N/A. I think last year we had over 200 supras attend. It's insane to actually be there when a supra pegs the Dyno at 1200. It was also featured in Turbo magazine. Vegas.supras.org as info about it. They have awards for the highest horsepower N/A....etc. So that might be something worth going for.:naughty:

hey guys -

just got a supra again here about 2 weeks ago... very excited as my last one was a silver Mark II... My new baby is an 86 na with about 190k on it... seems to have been well cared for...at least garaged to some degree (no dash crasks and very few headliner cracks.) Overall, the interior is a little rough the exterior seem pretty straight and almost rust free.

As far as mods...I have only changed out an air filter so far....

Although it's runnning fairly strong ... this is my first mark III and i have a question (and an oil leak) or two, but i will start a newb thread elsewhere to get your guys' imput on its current state...

anyway, here she is....

(and I gotta say... i have never smelled anything as beautiful as the smell of rotting leather and/or burning oil or whatever it is that my 2 supras have smelled like.... mmmmmm - bought it as soon as i drove it and remembered that supra smell..... =)

-89-92 TEMS actuators (switched mine out for newer ones; heard supposedly the new ones switch over fast but not sure if that's true)

-Cross-Drilled Slotted Rotors (Some Generic Brand. Hopefully I will switch over to either Brembo or KVR depending upon my budget)
-MKIV N/A '95 Wheels (waiting for new tires to come in so I can put on the new wheels. for right now im just driving on the stock rims)

yes that's it, 3,50 Euros (4,50 US $), but the lip was broken, in 3 different parts. hopefully as it's in fiberglass, it was easy to repair.

It's okay, I was thinking of going turbo but I can do that any day. It's still my daily driver and I get stopped by the police plenty of times. I pop my hood just to see the look on thier face.

The wheel studs broke. I put my sawblades on as temps and I used my wheel locks instead of the stock lug nuts. the locks got pulled through the front wheels, one by one the studs broke. I was doing 5mph when it finally gave out. so no damage was done i installed new studs and my new JIC A arms that same day.

thanks our cars are almost twins :)

my white fender had a rust hole in it and it was letting water sit in the well thus rusting out everything metal the water could find so i took a fender off my old 87 n/a after i parted it out and put it on, i dont have the tools to sand it down and repaint it and i figure the car is gonna get painted again anyways so ill just put the money to good use where ever else the car needs it rather than spending it on the tools to make it match.
