So basically I realized with my new turbo setup that running the timing at 0 DEG my car is weaker in the low rpms and less responcive but when the turbo comes on the car pulls alot harder. At 10 deg the engine power is great but the boost does not pull the car as hard. Whats up with this? what should I do?

heres a better idea... go get a decent ecu and let someone who knows whats going on tune it!

I dunno but 0 deg runs harder on boost then 10

You just got the car running, correct?
And now you're tuning by... simply how hard it pulls?
Lets test out a hypothetical situation, ok?
Get a BCC and turn the boost up to 20psi, bet it pulls like a bastard up there, huh!?!? What are your air/fuel ratios? What are your EGT's? What's the injector duty cycle? Whats your AFM readings?
you don't know?
If you're going to try to make more power out of your car, then you need to know.
If at any time someone asks you a question such as "why 0 degrees"
and you can't come back with anything more intelligent than "i dunno"
then you need to put it back to stock timing.
Learn before you try.
oh, and it's timing.
BTW: for anyone keeping track, what was the bet for how long this one'll last?

Dont litter my post with your sarcasm and your im cool because I know more then you attitude. I simply wanted to know the reason behind the timing difference, and NO im not tunning my car by "how hard it pulls" I just wanted to know the reasoning behind the change. I havent got my car to a dyno yet to get tunned but by knowing why it changes the powerband of the motor will help me understand it better. If you knew why you would of responded to the question rather then avoiding it just to try and show off.

OK my "guess" is at 10 degrees it's detonating on boost and pulling a shitload of timing trying not to let you blow it up......

yea, thats what my guess was too but it shouldent det on 10 PSI with NA compression esp running 108 octain, I also herd that changing the timing can also change powerband higher or lower thats what I was getting at, anyone elce hear of that? that was my second guess... I could see det on 15 PSI but 10 should be fine with 108

Well it depends on what boost you're trying to run on which turbo and how old the 108 is.

Also, like IJ has said before in other threads that sometimes the balencer hub slips off the center part of the balencer or was not always set at true 0' when it was made. It may be off a few degrees stock so you need to verify its at true 0' to start with.
Just something else to double check...
