A bit of confusion [Archive]

I have a bit of confusion right now about the matching engine/ecu/harness/chassis. I have an 87 N/A right now. I found a turbo engine out of a 91. So does that mean I need an 87 ecu and 87 harness to match the chassis? Or it being a 91, does it need a 91 wiring harness and ecu?

yea u would but iirc u can get it to work with the pre 89 harness if u do some work. I personally would stick with an 88 motor.

ahh bass turd. that sucks. :nono: Limiting it to only 2 years will be a PITA. But if it makes it easier on me then so be it.

87-88 ECU and harness is going to be easier to find.
