I try to attend as many of the Friday Street Nights held at NED as I can.
It helps cap off the week, and it's always entertaining to watch Accords run 19's. "yeah, but they're low 19's!"

Anyone interested in meeting up there during the summer? I won't be running the Supra, as it's too busy running me right now... but for the record, I did not see ONE mk3 last year at all. We need to represent.

I'm up for it. I didn't get to attend that many last year, I made it up twice and one time i got there just as it started downpouring and they decided not to open (we did get a 3000GTVR-4 to get his car all dirty in the grass out front and chased off the property though:biglaugh: )

Sounds like a good idea. My friend and I kind of have a silent friendly bet that will probably be settled this summer, he wants to do some time trial track racing this summer, so I gotta step it up in the 1/4 if I don't want him to beat me on the track and strip.:icon_conf When do you think the Supra will be back in action Kurt?

I wish you asked a few months ago...I could have gotten an 88 NA with a poop motor for basically free, some rich girl that my friend helped out had one and she needed a HG replaced, so my friend did it for her and she offered him the car for free. She had bought an 04 tiburon and 2nd gen DSM and didnt want to deal with the Supra I guess... I had too much going on to take it at the time and I heard she sold it for 200 bucks or something, it was running just had problems. Damn I shoulda taken that as a parts car:slap:

Ya Slow that sounds intimidating. Gixxer1000? Got anything done to it? those are fast as hell stock, I had a 636 and it was quite quick for me. I rode my friends 05gsx1000 and I was truly scared shitless to lay into it too hard. I love the style of the Gixxer's. I'm probably picking up an 01/02 F4i this summer just because I can find one for pretty cheap and not go broke.

I have an 05 gixxer750, lowered and stretched 5", shinko 190, one tooth down in the front, and a full 1000 exhaust. No other mods yet, still stock filter, no commander, etc. Best ive done so far was 10.2 at 131. I ride my best friends stretched, lowered, full yosh exhaust, filtered, and PC '06 gixxer1000 often, and it definitely rips. Mid-low 9 second bike for sure. My other best friend has a turbo busa stretched 8" and puit down a hair over 300whp last season. Nothing wicked impressive, but if you roll on the throttle in 3rd, she'll spin em up a bit...lol

I only run 1/2 throttle, so i make people 'think' it's a 17 second car" and we both laughed pretty good...

It's wierd how well this car responds to mods... Last week when I ran a 17.5 I had just intake piping to a drilled out airbox, but this week I had an intake filter, and I pulled the muffler off and I ran consistent 17.1's...
Me and my buddy with the brownish subie wagon are gonna be up there wednesday I believe, so if anyone feels like going, look for my white wagon with supramania.com stickers on the rear side windows and I'll give you a free yokohama sticker. hahahaha

Yeah they let me run no problem w/o muffler.
If all you're waiting on is a muffler and you have the rest, well autozone has a 3" ID piece of pipe that is straight, and is about 18"-24" long. Just mild steel, but it'll do the job, and it'll sound so nice...

Well it was a pretty bad night.
First run I launched pretty cautiously just for my first time out.
At about 4,500 in second gear the car just stopped accelerating. It kept revving to 5,500 but with no power so I shifted, at about 5,000rpm in 3rd it just misfired like hell, started bucking and just being real rough, and still no real power behind it. I let off alittle, and crossed the line at 85 and ran a whopping 15.7.
I got to the end of the strip and the Check Engine Light kept coming on and off every 6 or 7 seconds.
When I was slowing down to park it stalled while I was still rolling, then was idling at about 400rpm when I tried to let it sit and idle. Still throwing the CEL on and off.

Then I got pulled over coming through the tunnel in Boston and got a ticket for 65 in a 45...
On the ticket it says "Joshua Durant"(my name's Jason) and car was a "Toyota Subaru"... I think I'll be getting out of that ticket.

Haha ya the cop was pretty damn dumb... he didn't even say anything. Just kinda stood there and asked if I knew how fast I was going, then said 65 before I could answer and walked away.

No I didn't pop one off. I had to disconnect my battery and reset it to keep it from stalling then I didn't race again, just drove it home and the CEL didn't come on again. Still no power up top though. I'm gonna switch out spark plugs and wires within this week and see if that helps.

Yea they used to have it that way but the cop would never show up. Now they have a court representative from the town or city go. So in this case someone whose job is only to defend the laws in Boston would be there, not the cop who gave the actual ticket.

Wednesday was very fun though, sat behind 5 kids who had no idea what they were talking about, and wouldn't sit down they'd just get in everyones way when they looked down the track to see the times. It's so much fun listening in sometimes.
A MKIV was lining up with a Mustang cobra and they all go "awww no shiit, Suuupra whoa" and then all 5 of them take out their camera phones.
Everytime the Supra shifted the BOV would let out a quick chirp and one kid goes "duuude he's chirping every gear!!"
