So far we have a dyno day, drag day, show and shine at a toyota dealership, a possible BBQ, an award banquet / dinner (so you can get all your trophies and prizes at the end of the weekend and be recognized), a possible TV show comming, and a possible time attack.

the blown head gasket made mine stay home last year but it was fun to see everybodt elses,but i am readyto put it all together as soon as my tranny line comes from japan- 4 weeks and waiting......:biglaugh:

I ordered it for him a while back from elmhurst, since his were both rusted and junk....everything was in the states except one of the trans lines.

No overnight parts from Japan for us....just parts from Japan on a veeeery slow boat.

LOL, I'm in the process of doing the same thing (planning rebuild timeframe around CHI2k6). I wonder how long it will take to tear it down, have the machine work done, and then put it all back together...

Unfortunately, Venom will NOT be a major sponsor this year...Big BUMMER!!! They were going to be the big suprise sponsor this year! There were plans of bringing the Big Rig with a few race vehicles, but they were bought out and became a stingy corporate. Oh well...

BTW, supra_stephe, thanks for letting the cat out of the bag. It was supposed to be a suprise, but due to the circumstances, no harm done.

Just brainstorming right now, but here's what I see for the main events:

Thursday:
Cruise Day (Starve Rock)

Friday:
Dyno Day (Sound Performance, hopefully)

Saturday:
Drag Day (Byron Racetrack, maybe)

Sunday:
Show-n-Shine Day (Elmhurst Toyota)

Unfortunately, we will not have a road course track day. There is just not enough time to make arrangements, let alone acquire the correct personnel to oversee this. Perhaps maybe in future Meets.

These are just ideas. Let me know what you all think. Please give me any feedback. Again, just to iterate, this is what we see as Main Events. Let me know if you have any ideas for smaller events that you would like to see during these 4 days.

sounds like a pretty good lineup. i definitely think the variety and length of the meet could mean GREAT things for it....i am a bit sad to see no road course event, but i completely understand the amount of work involved in lining that sort of event up. what about the chance of an autox or something? maybe there is a local event we could attend?
