I have to make sure Clinton comes out to this one, we can get a pic of the 3 different blues, the 2 gay ones and then mine

I will try and find out some more info about SF, see if there has been any planning yet or not. It might get merged with the PacNW Nationals, but I'm not sure about that yet. There was a little bit of talk about that at the past SF.

Vancouver has some really nice beaches too. Kits beach, Spanish banks, First and Second beach, all within about 5 min from down town. Also some nice lakes about 30 min away like Buntzen, White pine.

Anyways, nobody went to the beach last year in Kelowna, we were to busy with the cars.

Whoever is doing the planing should get on this soon, before you know it it will be summer. I would offer some planning help, but I am already working 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day getting my new shop going, so I dont have any spare time. I thought Duane and Seamus were going to get the ball rolling on this?

wow, that was uncalled for, dont try pushing the bad reactions you got on me....LOL

its obvious thats what happened with evan last year, rofl.

regardless, it just seems like kelowna would work better for everyone who would want come east of the mountains, i can see why everyone in vancouver would want it in vancouver, little travelling involved, thats natural, however im not saying it should be in calgary or lethbridge or anything silly like that, kelowna is centralized for everyone and its been plenty successful in the past years it was held there.

Anyways, nobody went to the beach last year in Kelowna, we were to busy with the cars.

There wasn't even a beach where we had the show. That park near the bridge was the shizzle.

I think they whole idea of having it in Vancouver this year was to incorporate it with the Pacific North West meet. I as well heard rumor about Duane and Seamus hitting this up. I guess we'll wait for them to chime in.

I haven't posted anything yet as my self and Seamus are working on dates right now. I am also working on the track (Mission) and Seamus is working on stuff as well. We have some plans but until dates are finalized we will not post anything.
The meet will be in Vancouver and is to try and get as many people as possible this year. We want this meet to be the biggest yet.

I will post up info once we get everything sorted. We didn't just start doing things but was thought of months ago. (in case you guys were having a panic attack.) :naughty:

No panic attacks - but dates would help a lot by now, there's a fair number of people that are going to need to book vacation time and / or hotel rooms, and the earlier they know when and where the better off they will be.

PS: I might be able to get you a contact name for a deal on hotel rooms... my brother inlaw's girl works for a hotel chain. Unless you've got it covered already.

+1 For Vancouver. I really like Kelowna, but there isn't a whole lot to do there except make noise and do burnouts in front of the campground.

At least we can put the cars to work, and the highway to the coast is great fun.

The dates for my private trip to cruise the mountains of BC and go watch Formula D in Seattle were posted before Christmas. As such, people were able to plan their vacations, car modifications and budgets around it. That is probably why I have over 100 committed participants. Perhaps the Suprafest can enjoy such numbers this year.

My crew will be out in BC August 18-20, and I'm sure we'll be back out if Suprafest falls on another weekend. If anybody cares to join us for my trip, please PM me.

I would suggest having a poll with the users here, to see what weekend is favored with like 3-4 options, of corse it would have to be a weekend where there is the Street Legal drags. The August long weeknd might get the highest turnout with most people getting the extra day off work.

Take it as you will

Now we are starting to get into the period where my schedule is booking fast as well. I can't hold the entire summer open months in advance, folks - I need to be able to plan when to take vacation and coordinate this with the missus.

For those who want an actual meet date,, I have planned my own cruise independent of this event. We will be travelling from Alberta to Vancouver Friday August 18, doing a Auto X at the Tradex on Saturday 19 and going down to WA on Sunday 20 to watch Formula D. At least 100 Japanese sports cars of all types are expected to join me. Hopefully the Suprafest will be of equal caliber upon the announcement of where and when I need to put my shoes this summer.

I think if you wait too long to release a date the turn out will be low, and scince it is being held in one of the nicest cities in the world it would be a shame to not have a big turn out. Man its almost May already and there is no date yet.

hmmm just found this thread, sorry, I don't check SupraMania much. As for your request well we're not happy either that this is taking so long. It was really hard finalizing the dates this year as we have 3 major events to book locations for so we didn't have much choice for the dates available. We're still waiting for final word on availability of the locations but we're really hoping to have word by the end of this week. As it stands, it will most likely be the August 4-6th weekend. If that falls through, the weekend after, and if that falls through, the one after that. Ideally with Vegas so much earlier this year we'd like this event sooner too. We'll post as soon as we have hard dates for the major bookings. Once again sorry for the delay, there's been some extraneous circumstances with location bookings this year with some of the associations we're dealing with.
