wel today i will finaly start working on my car it will be a slow built but we will get there i will start with the tear down of the engine i will have pics up later

it is a 1986 toyota corolla with the 7mge engine used to have a 5mge in it but got a good deal on the 7m so i'm using the 7mge and turbo charging it and using megasquirt to handle fuel and spark for me

Sounds awesome if you can fit it in there. Will it be a drift machine? You might want to find a 7mgte instead of putting a turbo on a 7mge because of higher compressing and no oil squirters. But people do it and have had a lot of success. Good luck.

Pics or ban.
I wouldn't worry about the 7mge-t. Water injection will help with detonation, plus I think that he could know what he's doing. :D

Just curious if you know of anybody that has done this swap before?

I've seen two of these in action and they were pretty sweet. I know one ran a mustang rearend and launched like a f-ing rollercoaster. Both cars were owned by brothers and i heard only one had the balls to drive like it should and they are both stock motors/turbos.

I've heard that you have to remove the swaybars to make it fit do you know if this is true.

Personally I think that the 7m will be front end heavy for the corrolla.

I would rather have the 3sz (?) up front.

3sgte 4th gen. hailed as the 2jz without the 2 extra cylinders. cant complain with a 245hp 4cyl.

Yup! I would rock that thing in the corolla all day long!

Build a 400hp N/A monster!

I'm probably going to 7m mine... Intake, DP, 3inch, and my 57 trim putting down about 18 psi. Basically, I'm going to put my current supra motor in when the new motor is done.
