My o2 went bad, entirely dead. Hit it with a voltmeter + torch and nothing. Anyways, can this throw off my afrs or anything due to no oxygen sensor voltage?

This is only occurring in closed loop control (idle, cruise, light accel). Under Full throttle the 02 sensor is not used to set fuel trim.

Does anyone know @ what % throttle the loop switches from closed to open? I notice when im driving and cruising (neo says around 6-8% throttle) my afr's bounce btween 14.7-15.2 and just bounce ridicolously. Not sure if thats cause the oxygen sensor is bad, or what. I know thats right where its suppobsed to be at but is it suppobsed to sweep so bad etc. Also, will ANY bosch 3 wire sensor work? The only ones i can pick up locally are the Bosch 3 wire 13913 1986 FORD RANGER/EXPLORER oxygen sensor. If i got that / cut the clip and put mine on it would it work?

Sweeping is normal...the system will bounce between lean and rich like crazy...you can tell when you go into open loop as you'll stick in the rich area with no more bounce.

Anyone know if i can use that ford exploder one if i cut the plug off, cause i believe the plugs are different. Im assuming its the same sensor, just a different plug.

Yeah one way i know my sensors bad... on startup itll go to like 14.7... the SLOWLY drop till its @ like 11.2 then drop a little more, then start climbing towards 16-18... then slowly bounces back. Under accel (well 50%+) Its all good cause my widebands still reading good with the safc readings etc.

for people looking for sensors and re-wiring the plug. Just go Denso. You can use this link
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1278570&parttype=5132
You would want the universal denso sensor and it will be w 3 wire and bolt right into the DP or elbow. Or if you don't want to do any wiring make sure you select the correct year and get the direct fit one for 100+$
