Got rear ended / hit and run tonight. Pictures included.

So here's the story:
I was going through an intersection and was turning into a gas station right after the intersection. This dude who was turning right to come to the direction I was going just rear ended me while I was turning into the gas station. He didn't stop at his red light at all.... and of course starred at me for a sec and drove right off. My girlfriend wrote down his plates via her memory. I also have a couple witness one of which I have her information. All I gotta say is Supra's are tough. It felt like slightly more of a bump then you get during bumper cars. The picture is some what mis-leading even, since the paint was already chipped on the very right of the bumper. The damage is the Forrest green paint.... no dent. So tomorrow I go in to my police district building to file my report. This is what I was told via the non-emergency police number. Honestly, quite lucky! Wisconsin is one of the only states that does not have mandatory insurance polices which could be the reason for him running. They start mandatory insurance next year however, probably for the best.

let me tell you, insurance law or not there will be people without it and when they hit you bam. Although your insurance company may sue them you still pay in the long run.

Especially if they're hit and run and illegals. Happened to my corolla when I went to visit my dad which in turn totalled it out. I hadn't even gotten the title in the mail yet

Yeah, mandatory or not there will be lots of people without insurace. They'll still hit you and run. Here in San Antonio, Tx. they say 1 out of every four drivers are uninsured. That's alot.

I lost my corolla in houston because a couple of MEXICANS pushed me under a chevy avalanche and ran. Chances are they didnt have insurance anyways or were breaking the law in any other ways. Stupid mexicans

No hate here sir. I am hispanic myself. But yes I am still pissed at the fact that my corolla got totalled because cheech and chong weren't paying attention. I'm pissed I have to pay a slightly higher rate and my crash free record now has a blemish on it for a little bit.

I should have made myself more clearer but i didn't say they weren't legally citizens but there is 1 then more way to be operating a motor vehicle illegally and you noted a few.

it doesnt matter what laws are in affect, stupid people will break them and chances are the victim usually has to pay for it in some way or another. Just dealing with the incident is enough for a victim.

yep i got hit at a gas station while i was parked getting gas in my prelude the guy just ran right into my front passenger side bumper took off my lights my bumper he dragged with him it was a hispanic but im white and portguese and i dont have anything agaisnt hispanics most of my friends are. But hit in runs suck ass...i feel your pain at least no one was hurt...
