whats the best timing belt

I just purchased a set of hks cam gears and wanted to get a heavy duty timing belt, I have seen the greddy and hks but is there a real difference between them or is it just on brand u preffer. Any fed back is appreciated

What about this OEM ISUZU Belt that i hear fits the 1jz ? Never tried it myself but OEM quality is always best Right ?

I know gates make a racing/high performance belt. Its the blue one. I wonder if they made one of the ISUZU Belt which will fit our cars. Its almost half the price of HKS and Greddy which I believe are Gates belt too?

If you want to go OEM, get an OEM Toyota one, forget about getting one from another company.

I agree go with the OEM stuff. Either way unless you are running high lift cams that make the engine interference it is not really an issue if the belt breaks.

I've been using the isuzu belt for awhile and no probs.

U can have my old oem belt for the cost of shipping if you want lol.

I just ordered an hks one, it will go good with new cam gears

Just use the izusu one unless you run high lift cams some large core 272 or bigger. Then get a high end belt.

The izusu belt is ~$20 the HKS is ~120+ use the extra hundred for a K&N or other upgrades that do effect performance.
