Vacuum leak inside cruise control pump?

I have a small vacuum leak inside the cruise control pump or whatever it is called, Its on the Vac Side, and I made sure it wasnt the hose itself. I was wondering if it would cause any problems to disconect this port and cap off the line. I never use the cruise control and the pump itself looks to be about $300 new. Im just trying to figure out if it will make anything else not work. I may pick up a working one at the boneyard. Basically I would be capping off the red hose in this picture...
