I bought a HE351VE on ebay and plan to use it to replace my HY35W on my 1JZ.

The HY weighs about 20 pounds, the HE351VE weighs about 45, so I have some concern for the turbo manifold having to bear all that weight.

I'm running an XS power t3 manifold, the one that goes 3-2-1 instead of the usual 6-1 arrangement. It's fairly light weight construction compared to the usual 6-1 china manifolds.

Is anyone else running one of these turbos or another turbo that heavy and what are you doing to prevent the manifold from cracking (also what manifold are you running with it if you are running a VGT holset)?

Why not just redesign the OEM lower and upper turbo support brackets to mount to this HE351VE?

Im running an HX35 on my 7m no issues with weight cracking the manifold.
I was wondering if you were using variations of the OEM top and bottom brackets.... and I see the next post is suggesting it.

Are you using them? Do you know the weight of your turbo? The numbers in question are not the same and weight matters :)
