I'm not sure where to get it but I believe I have pre89 moulding laying around in my shed that I don't need. If I remember to look tomorrow I can grab some of the clips.

If you look at your local Autozone they have them and sell them in either a 2 or 4 pack but its around 5 dollars (on a small carousal with other clips and small body hardware).

Amazon also sell new ones:

I have not bought those from amazon but I believe someone on here from the middle of last year bought those.
I’ll go there and give it a look, better to see what I’m getting then guess how the amazon ones might be like. Appreciate the help plaaya

I am still trying to find these clips that will work with pre 89.
I tried most of the suggested PN's here already but they don't fit.

Let me know if anyone knows of a new clip the will work in place of this style.

I will post up some photos of my findings so it's more clear.

Would prefer not to buy used clips.
A 3d printed version of this clip would be nice. I still have not come across anything new either.

You have a PN for the pre 89?
I already bought the corresponding black inserts that go into the door. (90339-06012)
As far as I knew the clip I am trying to get is part of the trim assembly.

Tried the AutoX ones mentioned above no luck. (new white one in the photo)
Also have a huge box of all kinds of clips, none work.
Though one was quite close. (New yellow one in the photo)
The stock clip just has a huge wide base to it, nothing aftermarket matches it.

Anyone know if the 89+ clips work on the Pre 89?
PN: 75398-14030
Mentioned above.
Photo of these clips: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6OxXKeQxcn0/U_Pe8OOxKuI/AAAAAAAAANk/GBtKf8UCO_s/s1600/Clips01.JPG

I might just buy some to try, it has to be closer than what I have here.

Based on this thread they might work with some slight modification:
https://www.supraforums.com/threads...ld-on-moulding-that-goes-on-the-doors.791418/

Well see when I get them in.

One other thing I would like an opinion on:
Anyone have a good recommendation for replacement double sided trim tape?
I have use some 3M 1/4" trim tape in the past, but was not very impressed.
Looking for something with really good adhesion.

For double sided tape I use the 3m before but the extreme strong rated version which I got from Home Depot. I used that in the past on my rear window sun visor for the 4 mounting brackets to the glass and I have used it again when I mounted it to the 86 Supra. Works very well.

Yeah I ordered 20x of these 75398-14030.

They are still available via. US Toyota dealerships / parts network.
No need yet... to order these overseas.

Surprisingly, for a lot of parts, Amayama is cheaper than US dealers, even with shipping. I bought new targa seals and a hatch seal, and it was around 10% cheaper than the best prices I could find from US dealers, and easily 50% less than Canadian dealers.

Update.

So the newer model trim clip 75398-14030,
works perfect even on the 87 trim.

So if anyone needs to replace their broken clips just buy the new ones.

They fit right in place of the old, no modifications needed at all.
Once it took the old out the new ones simply crimp back in place.

Also good to note, these rubber wheels marketed as adhesive / sticker removers. They work wonders for removing old trim tape!
Or any other substance stuck on anything really.
Does not damage paint either, just have to go slow and steady.
Keep the rpm low and keep the wheel heat low.

So with the new suggested 3m tape cut to size (40lb rating), the new black plastic clips in the body and new clips on the trim...
It fit back together super easy, just clipped in place and done.

Nice!
Good to go.
