Put a magnet in the cam gear and removed the w58 trans and 87 subframe. My ocd has hit hard from getting grease all over me. The car is filthy.

Wow nice job on the magnet.
Is there any way to mount the pickup behind the cam gear?
Also, I didn't think Titan did the 7M cam gears in blue?

Steve reedholm did his in the rear but I want to keep my cam timing covers so the only real option is from the front. Dunno if titan does blue anymore or not. That batch of gears had horrible machining and they had to modify mine to fit.

Thanks
Does Steve have a thread on here?
I'm seriously considering ditching the CPS if its not too late with my motor already in the car but no wiring done yet

I'm not on facebook.
I remember in someone's build they drilled a hole in the plate that goes behind the cam gears for a sensor to poke through.
Which build was that, it doesn't seem to have been Steve's

Making good progress. Ended up stripping the entire front of the car apart for paint and I cut the frame rails to fit the intercooler. Even with the extra inch it's going to be tight.

Hey man. Was thinking of you recently when mounting the intercooler. Working on real brackets this time and the intercooler does not have a dent xD

I have my pickup on the cam gear in the rear. With my sensor being located in the valley area between the two valve covers. Ill have to snap a pic when I can. That car is on hold for now while i finish up my other one. I have the whole cam and crank pickup done, but I haven't done final assembly, and im a ways from finishing my harness.

If you could take a pic that would be great, I'm going to start a CPS removal thread where hopefully everyone can chime in as this seems to be a more common practice nowadays

I've got like 10 hrs of work in these stupid brackets because the fit is soo tight but the final result is perfection.

I actually have two additional custom angled spacers to get the brackets to sit in the right angle.

Result of how they sit...

Installed crank trigger and cam sync sensors. Also, I got tired of waiting for the Haltech Elite to come out so I ended up going with the ProEFI 128 since I found a good deal.

Hopefully it wont be much longer till this thing fires up. Before end of this year *shakes fist*

Where did you source the cam sync sensor and what is the OD of the sensor body?

I ran out of room in my garage because of a bunch of crap that needed to be dumped in it so this build has pretty much been dead for the last couple months. I'm in the process of building a new garage on another property.

Gonna be a Morton building. I should have this new garage done in a couple months. I'm trying to see if I can get a 40x60 or bigger so i can also add a living quarters to justify the cost of a whole new building, lol.

I'm jealous of your future garage.
Where did you get the sensor for the cam gear from?

I'll ask again...did you have any spare trigger wheels left? If not, what is the od, id, and thickness of the one you fabbed? My car is a long way away and I'd rather not have to make the trip out to it to measure everything. Thanks!

aight bitches. I gots a new garage so the build is back on after I move my junk in. ~1600sqft with 2 separate small rooms. The ceiling height sucks but for what I got this entire place I can't complain. There's 2 houses on the property including this one in the back. Yes, that's my beater crown vic.

im jelly of my own garage.

those 2 rooms are sick. im gonna use one as a storage room and have my Quincy compressor in there to suppress the noise and the other room as my engine build clean room. So much potential.
