Had an extra CPS on a shelf. I went to check the air gaps, and to my surprise, all 3 coils are green. Color is not as vibrant and as the newer ones posted. The wiring also appears to be original as well. Does this look like a reman'ed unit?

It does look like a reman, but the wires look older. Which is a bit odd.

It was either Grainger or McMaster.
Just a 4mm pin.
Though had to buy a pack of 25. :)

Opened the CPS on my engine and it too appears to have green coils, though a darker green than the others posted; like an OD Green.

I don’t think so, since the original paint is still on the coil screws. This CPS either came off the original 1990 7mgte I took out or the imported jdm engine I had torn down. My current engine I purchased as a long block with no CPS. It’s strange; out of the 3 CPS’ I’ve inspected in the last few months, 2 had some form of green coils installed.

The 3rd looked like just about any old CPS I’ve seen in the past.

setup->Sensors->cam/Crank->Advanced Cam Crank->Advanced Pickups

Crank H Sens Below 1200
Crank L Sens Above 1200
Cam High Sens Below 1200
Cam Low Sens Below 1200

I would venture a guess that you are probably not outputting as good as the 1st scope image as PirateTip posted.

this might definitely help your issue!
Any reason I can’t adjust these settings? Any value I change defaults back to 6000. Doesn’t seem like I can adjust much of anything, as if the settings are locked. Any idea how to unlock them?
