Re: My black MKIII with 2JZ-GTE and V-160

recently spun a rod bearing in my 7mgte .( have forged probe pistions and a hks 2.0mm hg. a greddy to06 20g. and 550 and apexi. on a r154. ) now i cant decide weather to spend the money to fix it or weather i want to part the engine ut and just go 2jzgte. what would you do??
2JZ, you can buy my car it's already in there, just waiting on anti-lag. Check out my sig link.

Skegget,
I never was a big MKIII fan, but if I could have one, I'd want it to be just like your. This is the only build I'm following atm. Get a nice Vid up when she's all Complete!
Grade A work man.

Please use the PM function instead of this thread. Updates will come hopefully within the next week or two.

Ok guys and gyrls, this is an older pic but I just wanted you all to look at it an compare it to your stock rear bumper. This one is around 8cm shorter and implemented the Bomex skirts without the edge.

I like the shorter bumper. How hard was it to do that? reminds me of the JDM Evo 9 rear bumpers that are shorter than the USDM ones. I like it

Thanks! It was pretty tricky but I got help from a friend that works with fiberglas. It is 5cm shorter, not 8cm as I wrote before, and it is also 5cm higher.

For some reason that first photo was a turn off for me... Can't place what it is but it just doesn't look right. But the last photo speaks to me. I really like the rear bumper and quarters.

How does the steering feel with the wider tires?

Cyrus, Crypton2006, Connor.Stephens: Thanks!!!
xCxHxRxIxSx: Thanks and yes I have a full stainless steel 3" system waiting for my race engine!
Chambers: Maybey it is the downhill angle... the steering feels a bite hard due to the lack of powersteering otherwise I guess its ok! Need to try it on a track... :D

Yea, I'm having some issues with the rack on my car (remember I have a manual rack too) when trying to turn sitting still. Need to have a brace or flange welded onto it to keep away lateral movement.

Re: My black MKIII with 2JZ-GTE and V-160

I have had some problem with broken turbos but now she goes pretty good! I will have the MOT done before winter so the car will be legal for a full year and then I am putting in my race engine :evil2:

Re: My black MKIII with 2JZ-GTE and V-160

Well, I first mounted it between the IC and radiator. The car was then running alittle bit on the hot side and GrimJack pointed this out even before I drove the car.

My oil cooler's mounted in my car's nose right behind one of my cowl vents. It definitely makes a difference.

wait so this location is ok then? behind the top vent on the front bumper? (if I had an IC block off plate, it would be right underneath it)?

Don't call me a douche but I would change one thing on your car and that is the wheels. For some reason, I think a set of HRE or CCW would suit your car very well.

Havn't done anything on the car but I have done other things, bought myself a house with a big garage. The house was fine but the garage needed some love so now I am making my dream garage.

Very sharp looking.. nice to see this still rolling along : )

I never noticed how much the side door moldings say Supra... kinda miss them when they are gone...

Re: My black MKIII with 2JZ-GTE and V-160

@Grandavi: Thanks! Well the door molding almost had to go. When widening the rear and doors so much, none of the OEM moldings fit anymore. Me myself I dont really like the moldings ;)
@Albert: Thanks!
