So.
I had a wacky idea.
I went and bought a cressida.
and will be taking my setup out of my supra and putting it in the Cress.
:)
Pictures tonight.
Ask questions freely.

Hope some of you are happy I didn't end up selling my car!

Thats a pretty clean cressida. Should turn out to be a nice build and quite a sleeper. Good luck man, ive always likes those cars.

Re: Kylefoto's new build, I'm not leaving the community!

Thanks guys.
Been hit in the front before, used to be white.
Shitty paint job, spray over it looks like, flaking along the edges.
Frame is straight though!
BHG poopyness!
Brand new tires, brakes (supposedly), battery, and a whole bunch of other shit.
I'm gunna clean out my garage tonight and pull one of the cars in tomorrow and start tearing shit apart.

Re: Kylefoto's new build, I'm not leaving the community!

Cleaned up the garage tonight and pulled the cress in. Took out some of the rear trunk carpet to air out, it was a little damp in there. Nice and smelly.
Gotta work tomorrow, gather up my tools and go home and tear the cress apart!

Edit:
Found a 2 dollar bill in there too, along with a purse, a unused diaper, a pad, some toilet paper, bolts, a belt, and some jumper cables.
Woo hoooo!

Re: Kylefoto's new build, I'm not leaving the community!

Engine is almost ready to come out of the cress.
Working on getting the driveline off right now and then it's motor and tranny mounts and then I need to go get the engine crane.
Holla!

Sorry ron :(
It's all ready (minus the motor mounts), but I had to eat and run over to Eddie's to grab his crane. So the crane is in the garage and I'm waiting on my Dad to finish his dinner and then we'll be pulling it.
How's your car doing?

Lookin' good! I had big plans for my '92 Cressida but sold it so I could buy the MKIII. Always thought it would be fun to have a big turbo motor in my Grandpa gold Cress :)

FYI-MKIV TT wheels will fit with some fender rolling...

If I do get different rims, they'll be either fat 5 spoke VIP style or some BBS RS' or something. I think my first mod after I'm all done though will be custom coilovers.

Drift limo? :)

So I'm assuming you're having the pickup modified on your 7M? This was the only thing that deterred me from doing the swap... You going GTE electronics as well? I've heard the wiring is a b!tch

Yes, it needs to be cut and rotated because of going from mid sump to front sump. I've got a couple friends that weld so no big on that really.
Yeah, I'll be using my GTE ECU and Harness. I can't find much on the wiring yet, I've been looking around a little but all I could find was a thread on pre 89 turbo Auto ecu wiring. I've got a 5spd 89. If I can't find anything, there's a local wiring guru around here that does all the 7m swaps into the mk2's so I can ask him to give me a hand.

Re: Kylefoto's new build, I'm not leaving the community!

There's a decent post on toyotacressida.com by Pioneer from a while back, that may be the one you were talking about. This is also a good resource for the 7M side of things: http://www.supracharged.com/tech/wiring/index.shtml
Haha yup, that's the one I was reading the other night.
I'll check that out, thanks.

Come get it! I do need to sell it. Want an auto tranny too? Shifted pretty good for the few feet we drove it. Had fresh ATF in it when I drained it.

You guys like the cress 15 inchers on the supra too? The other two wouldn't fit in the front! hahaha so I went and trade them for 2 sawblades.

Re: Kylefoto's new build, I'm not leaving the community!

Alright, so the supra will be leaving me this weekend.
Found a guy to buy it, pulled out my diff and tail lights today.
I'm going to start swapping shit over this weekend.
Anyone interested in some JDM tails before I post them in the FS section? PM ME!

Yeah, but I actually do work :biglaugh:
Just kidding.
Were you serious about the engine? I need to get rid of it. haha.

Picked up a Nardi wooden steering wheel tonight. I'm pretty sure it's actual nardi, and if it is a I got a HELL of a deal, 30 bucks, WITH A HUBBBBBBB.
Holla. Either way, good deal, it's in pretty good shape and it will look hot as fuck on either of my cars.

EDIT
Oh yeah, the supra is leaving tomorrow, HOLLA!
