I've been looking all over for an answer to this question and can't find it. Is the interior Maroon color of the 1986 to 1989 Supra even remotely close in color to the Deep red color of the 1990 to 1992 Supra? I was hoping someone that has interchanged / replaced parts or has multiple supra's or supra parts can answer.

Thanks

Thanks a bunch. It looked like that from the pictures I found, but i wasn't sure it was just a difference in the cameras and lighting or a real difference.

Wow, I didn't actually know that. Although I'm not sure I've ever been in a red or maroon interior now that I think about it. It's always been blue or light gray...

Deep Red is one of the classiest interior colors for the MK3. I like it way better than Maroon. Especially if its well cared for.

For North America:

86-88: Beige
86-90: Maroon
86-90: Grey (86-88) or Medium Grey (89-90) - These are the same colour, they just changed the name.
86-92: Blue (86-88) or Deep Blue (89-92) - These are the same colour, they just changed the name.
89-91: Brown
91-92: Deep Red
91-92: Shadow Grey - Note that for 92 cars with leather, the leather was black, not grey.

Other countries vary (for example, 86 offered beige but not grey in Japan, and was replaced with grey for 87 - it wasn't available in 86).

Yes, beige was pre-89 and a lighter colour than the replacement 89+ brown colour.

Also the colors are the same but the patterns are different. Like pre89 the checkered pattern. 89 is different and sometime around 90-91-92 the pattern is again different. The later years look nicer.

I've observed 3 different patterns.

86.5-87

88 (some early 89's may have had it but it was distinctively different from the 86.5-87 and the 89-92)

89-92
