inhabitors, and specifically you CryoSlash, has your opinion of the United States changes after last nights election? It should, since the people set forth a mandate to its' government, so I'm curious if you still think that the US is a bunch of bullying pricks.

I find that most foreigners who say they hate Bush will just find a new excuse once he's gone to hate America - because they simply hate America...

Last night was one of the low points in recent memory as far as politics go. Once people realize certain things, but primarily that the terrorist attacks won't stop now that the dems have control of the house, nor once Bush is out of office...Then they'll realize how foolish they were for voting the way they did. As I see it, all these creates is a huge liability.

Let me ask you, do you want somebody like THIS running things? I know I don't.

It doesn't matter too much to me, to be honest. When, not if, terrorist strike again, the people of the US will force whomever is in control of the Government to respond. It will be too late, mind you, but I'm afraid that is what's necessary for people to learn what Israel has had to learn many decades ago.

On the flip side, this will also force those who do hate the US to flip to another reason to hate us, and when they do, I will expose them for it. Last night PROVES that this is the greatest Government that has ever existed. The people of the United States controls the United States Government, something that can not be said for the vast majority of countries existing today.

Yes, the government will forced to respond - But let's face it, if it's the dems in power....It won't be the same. It's not even as if they are the democrats of the past - The liberalism hippy attitude has been taken to a whole nother level from when Clinton was in.
And you're right - But I don't think people will EVER learn what Israel has...I mean look here in Toronto. I have to always mention it...18 terrorists with charges ranging from plotting to behead the PM to blowing up downtown office towers - They're OUT ON BAIL. Certain people will never learn because they're just idiots.

And without a doubt - It's a true democracy. Meanwhile, people I know up here say it's anything but...I swear our education system is useless

To be honest, it doesn't make much of a difference who runs the place, mostly because the available options all look the same from outside the border. No offense, but the vast difference between the republicans and the democrats look like pretty minor bits to us.

In my opinion, the best form of government is a benevolent dictatorship.

I'm not a US hater, although i think that having the democrats win so many places yesterday is a good thing - balance is good. With a mostly republican house and senate, there wasn't any real opposition to anything. Maybe now though, some policies could be looked at in a fresh light.

Dont forget, its the people that voted them in, so they must want some change! :)

I miss Clinton... If I was old enough back when Al Gore (I may have spelt that wrong) was running for president, he would have gotten my vote.

 man i love all the love i get here. It doesn't matter who runs it clearly, as president after president such as Eisenhower in Vietnam, Bush Senior in Desert Storm, and Bush now in Iraq; all of them lied to their people in hopes of gaining more economic power.
Oh and i live in Buffalo and NYC for about 3 months a year ;)

I'll request one more time: Substantiate your claim. You go ahead and admit it, you can't. Yet again, your hate overcomes logic.

-1 again, Eisenhower Viet Nam? Are you stupid?

What lies? Be specific. You like several socialists have no credibility here. I posted your response to people who have nothing to do with this forum and Supras, and now they think you are dumb.

The party that campaigned to be less liberal won. The Republicans of economic conservatism, Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, are all gone. I am no longer a big fan of Rudy Guilliani, but economic and defense policies always come before social issues. And he can beat Hillary in '08. So I am not too worried.

I am still here, and not going anywhere in the near future. I will continue to carry Reagan's torch for the rest of my life. Look for the rebirth of conservatism within the next 6 years. The dems won without any plan other than hate Bush. Now Bush has called for a plan. The dems can't put their big govt. plan out because America rejects it. They will play conservative and fail. The people will yearn for real conservatism and I will step up to the plate and win one for the gipper.

Or... You could debate like an adult and explain why you think Eisenhower got the US embroiled in the Vietnam war. It aughta be pretty interesting to hear your take on it, seeing as how hostilities didn't begin until almost 5 years after he left the office. Johnson started a limited bombing campaign, and it wasn't until JFK did we actualy goto war.

So, oh sage one. Despite the fact that it was two completely different administration after Eisenhower when we got involved with Vietnam, how was it that he infact started the Vietnam war?

Let me guess. Eisenhower had mind control powers over the next two administrations and forced them to do his bidding. And all this time eveyone in the world had been led to believe that Eisenhower had simply retired back to his farm to live a peaceful life.

That's because the majority of Americans are smart enough to know not to play a game where sticks and frozen pucks fly around without wearing a mask. :biglaugh:

(no I don't really believe that. Hockey just sucks)

I just want him to bring accuracy and fact to the table.

JFK started Viet Nam, but didn't have the military heavily involved. He was doing kind of like what we did in Afghanistan. LBJ escalated it greatly. Nixon continued it until he brough them home.

No commentary on the strategy, that is just time lines. Now cyro-baby, do you see?

Probably not.

You know it is all Halliburton's fault.

I'm going with it being Zombie Eisenhowers fault. Also add in a sprinkling of Karl Rove.

Not unless you're the typical american sterotype - Fat, Loud and generally annoying...

I don't quite understand the american polical system, but does this mean that it will be harder for the repub's to get laws/bills past?

From what I understand there are two extreme's in your political systems, Ethier you vote for the hippie in suit like pussys (democrats) and the rednecks in suits that also go by the name of the republican party, Is this right, or has the TV been lying to me again?
