Interested to see how cold of temps everyone has seen this week.

Yesterday we were -20F.
Today we are -26F.
Excluding windchills.

Cars are still starting so that's good

Freezing. Yesterday was about 10 to 20 degrees colder but right now its -16F with a -31F windchill and here I am looking at r12 freon cans for sale for my Supra if I put the A/C system back in this summer lol. It's even more crazy that in the next few days we will have a high of 51F degrees with rain on Monday on the north side of Chicago, that's almost 100 degree temp change.

Yeah the temperature swing we are going to see is pretty amazing.
From this to rain is going to be strange.

Anyone see any ruptured main waterlines / gas lines / bad infrastructure failures?
We have been lucky, nothing so far.

4? years ago when it was this cold, we had the main waterline on our street rupture at 3 different houses within 1/4 mile of each other.
They ended up tearing out the entire road and rebuilding all the waterlines / sewer ect... What a mess that was.

I was just up in Dillon/Breckenridge and had some 0F starts of my Land Cruiser in the mornings. Slowest I think that's ever cranked and I've got a grossly oversized group 31 AGM battery. Not sure it'd make it another 20F colder.

Stay warm out there!

Yeah its times like these I am glad I run Zero Weight engine oil in my vehicles.

Everything managed to start even @ -22°F / -30°C.

I took the opportunity to data log some real in vehicle CCA tests at work.
It was interesting working outside from 4:30AM - 2PM in the -30°C weather.
I was able to get some really good data though :D
