I recently bought a 87 supra with a early 1jz swap. A "autolab" did the swap they are out of business. Go figure. It runs but will not drive. If you pin the throttle it will rev to about 3300-3500 an kinda spit an spuder. if you try to drive it it'll rev up to 3k rpm an fall on its face from a fuel cut. It has a mark2 chaser automatic transmission ecu. My car is manual transmission. Do I need a m/t ecu? Changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, AFPR, idles fine just won't run. Ps this is a rough swap looks like no one has ever cared about this poor car

Hi, welcome to the forums.
Auto ECU is fine for a M/T
Plugs should be gapped to around .028
It seems a pretty common problem for the 1JZ engines so check all the coil packs for cracks.
A slightly off timing belt will also cause this. just one tooth off so pop off the timing cover and see how everything lines up between the cams and crankshaft on the timing marks.
