Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Hey guys! I'm back with an update. Thanks for your continual contribution and advice it is much appreciated! As requested I went and bought a compression tester and drove the car around until it was up to operating temperature. I followed the procedures to get the car compression test ready...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Hi Hey.Friend and Cajun, thanks for your input! It is much appreciated. Compression can absolutely be an issue here, you are both correct. The engine has NOT been rebuilt these 270k kms to my knowledge, however the head gasket and upper seals were replaced about 2 years ago by the previous...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Hi guys! An update on my car, apologies for the delayed response. I've replaced the coolant temperature sensor from a Tridon aftermarket sensor, fits very nicely and was quite simple to replace. However, this did not solve my problem, the shaking is still present. I have ruled out the 02...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Hi 3P! Apologise for the delayed response. I have put your suggestions to the test, thank you for that! So I believe I am within Spec according to the TSRM. I checked the movement of the needle and it is moving but not exactly per the requirements so I believe maybe it was just the way I set up...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Hi guys! An update on my search for solutions. I have checked both the Fuel Pressure VSV and the EGR VSV and both are in good shape in accordance to the TSRM specs. Weirdly though, the first time I checked the fuel VSV it had no continuity nor resistance, but then I put 12v through it to see if...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Thanks for your input it is much appreciated! Hmm with that thought a bad VSV could be the cause, as they are temperature dependent. I will check the fuel pressure VSV and EGR VSV next. In terms of any air leaks, would this also affect the car when it is open loop (i.e. cold starts, WOT)? I...

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

Thanks for your input it is much appreciated! Although how does compression play a part in this? Wouldn't a compression issue be evident regardless of open loop (cold start/WOT) or closed loop operation? i.e. the engine would run badly overall in every situation right?

Shaking when warmed up, loss of overall power due to shake but steady rpm = no misfire?

EDIT 4th January 2021: After more tests and some components replaced, I have an updated scenario/testing performed in Post #12. Please refer to that post for updated diagnosis of this issue. My original post below was an initial diagnosis and should only be used as a guide to solving my issue...
