    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Funnily enough, we've never raced. But I suspect he'd beat the Supra, or we'd be close. But this LS in that chassis... It's one of those cars that does everything well.

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Thanks man! The 240 is my buddy's. It's 5.7 LS1 with TSP cam, LS6 intake, and installed with a Fueled Racing Swap Kit. Super strong car, all throughout the RPM range.

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Cleaned out the car and labeled the boxes of parts I have to install at some point. Set them on the shelf in the garage. Then I called my buddy and we went for a drive. No destination in mind. Just hit a few stops around Waxahachie. My car felt strong and the roads were empty. Thanks for...

I take no joy in doing this, but AVOID YotaConnectors.com. Shit service and the dude owes me my harness or money, and he refuses to respond.

That's a shame man, I'm really sorry to hear that. Last I heard he was chasing a job promotion pretty strenuously for a while. Or maybe it was a massive project needing completion? I cant recall exactly but basically his 9-5 became a much bigger part of his life. I've deactivated mine as well...

When I ordered my knock sensor rewire kit and coil pack wires, it did take a number of months. I did have some success reaching out via Facebook messenger. That way I could see when the message was seen, then I'd send a follow up after a week or so. That seemed to be more reliable than email...

Project Ookii Ao: Road to 500whp

Dang! That looks factory new! What's the new method? White base, colored overcoat, then gently sanding the top color down? (I know nothing about paint...)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Looks really sweet! I removed my charcoal canister in 07, but I'd like to add it back in. I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for one from the older 4Runners. Great work! -Nick

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Not a whole lot to report. I have a knock sensor re-wire kit and a COP harness from Yota Connectors ready to go on. I also have a new leather shift and e-brake boot. A few other odds and ends. Truth be told, I've not touched the car in a while for a few reasons. My wife and I normally work in...

    Fuel Pump Priming Issues

Very true. I'm not sure about the settings. I know I haven't changed them since '14, but it's certainly worth a look. Of course, there are plans to replace with a full stand alone & harness in the future, but that'll have to wait. I can definitely unplug it, and see if the priming condition is...

    Fuel Pump Priming Issues

That makes sense. Unfortunately, I no longer have an AFM, so I can't do that. It was installed by Zach from ECUMaster in 2014, and has been running fine ever since. I can remove it, but I wouldn't be able to start the car. Are you thinking it's more likely there than in the ignition harness...

    Fuel Pump Priming Issues

@figgie Do you mean to get the car up and running without the piggyback, or simply unplug it, and try the key on and see if the problem persists?

    Fuel Pump Priming Issues

Hello all, I came upon an issue that I *think* is in the harness coming from somewhere within the driverside dash, leading to the ignition cylinder. Where you plug in a turbo timer harness. 13 years ago or so, I attempted an alarm install with a remote start. We eventually got the car running...

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Thanks for your help! I input my info into a random "diff gear ratio" math generator found on google. My inputs must have been off, so until I can get to the car and just turn the driveshaft, I'll take that figure!

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Couldn’t agree more! Just found a live photo I took of the cluster turning 230,000 miles and found that I’m roughly at 2,500 RPMs in 5th gear at 70mph.

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Inch by inch I was home for about 3 weeks over the holidays which gave me some time to work on the car. I replaced the trunk struts, and I also bought an LDPerformance Boost Controller to replace my old Blitz DSBC unit. I picked it up from my buddy Zach when I visited ECUMaster HQ in Texas...

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

I wish I had a strut bar... It's probably the one in the MK4 I saw at TX2K. That one is pretty sweet! As far as the poly setup goes, it does ride a bit stiffer. But I'm a huge stickler about a comfortable ride, and it doesn't bother me at all. Just feels solid, and surefooted. Thanks, man...

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

Now we come to the brake upgrade. (Technically this took place before the “Tale of Two Turbos” story.) I learned about the TX2K meet in 2004, and 15 years later my schedule finally allowed me to attend. Naturally, I wanted the car in tip-top shape so I wanted to install my new Arizona...

Really fantastic build progression, man! I'd love to see some video of this turbo in action. I've been really curious about this unit, especially after seeing the power Doug Clemens made. Great pick! -Nick

    The GT Build - (2JZGE-T)

A Tale of Two Turbos As I mentioned in my previous progress post, it was quite difficult to reattach my downpipe to the rest of my exhaust. Also from my previous job, the turbo and the drain line were even harder to re-install than I remembered. Another cue - was my intercooler piping now...
