    Figgie's build: Project Rodknox

It would be super cool if someone could make an LCD or led screen that could take up the whole stock gauge cluster and digitize it all, but I know the stock shape would make it difficult.

I presume you have the car on e85, if so it's quite common for e85 cars to flush themselves of junk with alcohol in the system. Or maybe you got a tank with junk in it from the station.

    Brake pedal feel/ABS module questions

You could always have someone pump the brakes and watch the rubber lines to make sure they aren't ballooning under pressure.

I thought they were two different entities but I could be wrong. Maybe the rear speed sensor is unplugged?

I know the feeling, I spent probably 30 cumulative hours broken down last year sorting out issues the car was having with electric fans and fuel pump wiring. Made it hard to see a point in keeping progress going at times, but getting to rip it when it worked made it worth it. You cant have one...

So I bought this beauty of a steering wheel off the FB marketplace, and I've never seen one like it. What can you tell me about it?

I have the same wheel, I got it from australia and the guy said it was out of a TurboS trim.

    Two Supras Obtained Today.

It would be worth it to take a bit of time to disassemble it yourself. If they take it apart more than likely you will get all your wear pattern parts back thrown in a box with no way of knowing where they came from or where they go. I would disassemble so I know where they go on reassembly.

Alarm Goes Off Immediately - Mid Restoration - What Happened?

My dads 87 did this when pulled apart from paint. You need to install the driver door lock assembly and turn the key in the cylinder and then open the door by the handle to get the car to stop freaking out as best I can understand what happened to it.

Yeah, I kept getting stranded last year from experimenting from wiring issues with an electric fan setup and bad pin fits on fuel pump wiring. I know how it feels to have one problem after another, but when it all comes together it makes it way better.

    Two Supras Obtained Today.

Well at least it was easy to see the problem. Can see why it was going through coolant too.

What kind of wiring setup do you have? Maybe the pumps have high resistance somewhere in their power circuit and are operating at a low voltage causing pressure drop because they aren't supplying enough but to keep up out of boost?

    ABS or no ABS...

I mean the stock abs system is really effective for what it is. They stopped stock in 120ish feet at 60mph iirc which is really good for only having 225s on all 4 corners stock, with sticky tires and bigger brakes you could easily get down to 100ft or less from 60mph I'd say with the stock abs...

You definitely seem to have a flow restriction with pressure dropping as you lean into boost and the duty cycle increases on the injectors. How old is the fuel filter? Is it a stock unit? Possible maybe a fuel hose in the tank split? What kind of clamps did you use?

    ABS or no ABS...

with the Mercedes brembos on 275 wide 240 treadwear front tires I can activate abs with a decent amount of pedal pressure. I would personally keep it since it's easy to flat spot tires which can be aggravating on expensive tires and it allows everything to work at the optimum max which is much...

    What is this plug?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say your car doesnt have progressive powersteering. If so, it's for that.

    Brake pedal feel/ABS module questions

I would definitely pull abs codes to see what that issue is. Lots of time with dragging calipers though it can be caused by the brake hoses by the knuckles being collapsed inside, allowing pressure to go to the caliper because it has so much force, but not having enough to overcome the collapsed...
