I just got my stock suspension shocks rebuilt, still using the original springs...and there is a huge difference in handling compared to the old 16yr old shocks. The good thing is the car sticks to the road...the bad now, is that I can hear everything that is loose on the car. I am getting a loud thumping noise on the rear left near the wheel well of the car. The thumping/clacking noise appears whenever I hit bumps or go about 80+ MPH. I jacked up the car and looked underneath and shook around a couple of things, but nothing seems to make that thumping noise. I do know I have to replace my rear wheel bearings and balance my tires.. I did try jumping up/down in the trunk (imagine that) a bit to recreate the noise, but no luck.
I didn't have the noise before, when I had my old suspension..then again the rear left shock was completly busted.

At the moment I have limited funds...so I would like some opinions on what the cause could be...could worn/torn bushings be the cause?
