cd player question

i still got the factory tape player in. will a cd player mount in there right? b/c in my 89 they had it hacked and cut in to the plastic and it didnt mount in there right. do they make a bracket or somthing i can put in there?

yes it will fit if its normal din sized.
And i dont think you need to do some hacking.
You just have to take out black front pannel.

Mine is fitted without the decorative frame and it sitts as it was muolded into the dash.

You'll need to buy a little kit that will allow you to fit a DIN sized cd player in your car. It will leave you with a little pocket underneath the head unit. You can get these things at pretty much any store that sells aftermarket headunits.

i ordered my mp3/cd deck from crutchfield and it came with all the adapters and the pocket that goes underneath

That may or may not help, the only other note I would make is that all most new decks come with a trim ring around the edge, you have to leave this off because the plastic of the center console sits flush with the deck. If this is the part that got hacked up then your mileage may vary
