According to the diag T5-a I should have power on IG.

I have no power on IG, igniton on or off.

Does the safc require constant voltage or is it switched by the key?

On the pin above IG i have power when key is on.

My IG wire is Black with red stripe and brown dots.

well i know for a fact you have power at the IG wire if your car starts. do you have BOTH grounds hooked up on the afc?

Yes T5-a I have an 89 Turbo.

According to the picture my IG wire is black with red stripe and brown dots.
The pin above IG (+B1 black with yellow stripe and brown dots) has constant +12V, so Im pretty sure I have found the correct wire.

Can someone verify my colors?

My car was working before I started the install so I can`t understand why it`s playing up... :icon_evil

My MAFT turns on with the ignition so something must be right.

the afc power wire is the same wire as the maft or you can just hook into the maft. it doesnt matter so long as its a switched power line.

Nope, I prefer to do it as the manual says, since they are so picky about the grounding.

You don`t test your wires at all and just follow the instructions blind?
I always check to see that I have the right wire going out to the engine with my ohm meter, then I know that it`s correctly wired in!

No one knew that IG only has power with the ecu plugged in :aigo:
Maybe my car is FUBAR and was put together by hangover saké drinkers.

One more question, since the knock function doesnt work very well, should I skipp it or wire it in? Use sensor in the front or rear on the negine?

suprafredde, on step closer to MAFT and safcII
