hey guys, i'm picking up my supra this weekend, and it has no radio, I was wondering are aftermarket headunits DIN mounted with the metal sleeve/cage or ISO mounted with factory brackets? trying to figure out my options for the trip back, although i love listening to engines, some tunes would be nice for the long drive. i used to do installs, but never had the opportunity to work on a supra.

thanks!

Use the factory brackets. I've never needed any aftermarket brackets or installation kits on any late 80's - late 90's Toyota car. The stock brackets are great.

If you don't have any, get them from Toyota, they're about $20 for both. Pick up a pocket to mount underneath the stereo too, you can get them new from Toyota, from any audio shop, or about any junkyard. Toyota used them in a lot of cars (pretty much any 87-90 Tercel has one, which should make it somewhat easy to find one if you don't want to buy a new one).

Good luck.
