fuel pump question

i tried looking around, is there a link to anything in the search engine about a walboro fuel pump install? and how to do the constant 12v mod, any help would be appreciated

have you bought walbro yet as i have massive bosch pump that bolt straight in with jubillee clip as passing that sort of setup now and going custom tank and 2 x aeromotive a1000 pumps aint got a lot of use for it

Why would you use two A1000's? That kind of defeats the purpose of using a big external pump....

The Walbro install is fairly straightforward, drop the gas tank and pull out the pump and hanger, pull off the old pump and install the Walbro using the parts from the install kit and reassemble.

reason going for 2x a1000 is one on way out of tank into swirlpot and one out of swilpot and because i am having in car boot mounted alloy custom tank made and will be trying to support big rwhp

so i figured out how to get the pump in anyone know about the 12v mod?

friend of mine runs rising rate voltage up to 14 or 15 v so more boost he runs the more fuel he get have you thought about that option

The 12v mod is simply bypassing the fuel pump resistor mounted on the right hand fender.

it is just a case of splicing in a wire to bypass the regulator if you have anyone who knows a bit about electrics its an easy job

so the walboro can handle extra power to pump faster ( more fuel)? I didnt know that.

That shouldnt be hard to do....my brother is the wiring guru...i should ask him how to make a rising rate relay of some sort....thats pretty interesting.

And there is a meter in the right fender that must be bypassed to do this? Seems easy and logical.

siman just wire it of the power into regulator then put a rising rate joby in and reconnect it to main feed to pump make sure its boost activated then more boost more fuel pressure i think your safe up to 16v

boost activated...as in tap a line from my boost gauge into this mechanaism you call a "joby"? :icon_razz

so essentially the more boost it senses, the more voltage is allowed through up to a certain extent. Hmmmm pretty smart!

figgie have you seen the price i know im spending thousands of pounds on it but aint a millionaire the reason going aeromotive is i need two and they will do the job and at half the money but you are right weldon are fantastic point well seen
