vaccum

Hi,
Well my boost gauge reads 10 of vaccum when at idle...when im running steady, its like 16-18. Think this isnt normal. What are the good numbers for idle vaccum ? what could be the problem any idea ??
Plus i have hesitation when boosting..is it related ?

I'm assuming the gauge is in inHg? Correct?

If it is, it sounds like you have a vac leak... I'd start looking for one.

yeah car should idle more like 18-21 inHG.......i just walked in and the car was idling at 21 inHG while the timer was ticking down..........start looking for a vac leak. Start with the stupid stuff - like the connection for your boost gauge to the vac lines.

damn there are just so many lines, plus I have Hose Technique hoses, but I do see some lower hoses near the block, and probably some I didnt change in the lower parts you cannot see. Ill look into it.

No trick on how to pin point it right ?

just take it one at a time. i take it you havent gotten rid of the EGR or charcoal cannister? If you have, you can get rid of a few of the vac lines.
