I have been hearing intermitten squeal & chatter noise from my rear wheel. Jacked up the car & wiggled the tire back & forth. I found just over a 1/4" of play. Concluded the wheel bearing was bad so I replaced my rear PS Rear Wheel Bearing. Now I still have a noise but now it sounds more like a scraping. Simmiler to worn to the metel break pad. I know it not the pads because I just replaced them along with the rotors just over a week ago. For grins I dbl checked them (rotors & pads) & they are fine. I rechecked the wheel & I still have 1/4" of play when I wiggle the wheel. Does this sound like a bad Hub or even an Axle? Thanks for any input.

That depends on which way your play is. If it's in every direction then it's probably wheel bearings. If it's only a certain direction it's a suspension component like ball joint or control arm bushing failure.
