does the intake side of the head need to be blocked?

I'm assuming you are removing the EGR. In which case, yes, you need to plug both ends.

it's jdm so it cam with the intake manifold plugged and the exhaust side of the head. but I can't tell if the intake side of the head actually vents to the head. so I don't know if it needs to have 2 more block offs there

nope.. if it's a jdm engine the intake should already be blocked and the head, the intake side of the back of the head actually vents straight thru to the intake mounting

if you stick ur finger in there you'll be able to see your finger from the intake side #6

glad this came up cuz I was 'bout to ask a similar question...

there's no egr equipment on the JDM 7m's, right? so THere's nothing to block off, tap, or do anything to...

right?

there are stock block off plates on our engines... still need them bolted there or ya have a nice exhaust leak and massive intake leak

but yea.. two little plates, head & intake manifold
