how much tranny & rear end fluid for 7mgte

check the TSRM for sure.. however for the tranny fluid i believe its 3.4 qts...

another way to do it is keep the drain plug open and pour it into the shifter until it starts to leak out.... that works also...

Do you mean the filler plug???

When the filler plug-hole leaks thats when its full.

anyone have a pic of the filler plug, on an auto. heh i just use the dipstick and measured ammount from owners manual

Those bastards at toyota measured it just so you have to buy the additional quart for .2 and .4 quarts.

If you can hear me Toyota...GO TO HELL!! Muahahaha!!

Seriously though, I don't even bother with the filler plug deal. I just take off the shifter and dump in the 3 quarts of fluid. Finally, I top it off by measuring the remaining .2 quarts. Easy as pie. Mmmm.......pie.......

There isn't a filler plug on the A340 auto trans, you use the transmission dipstick opening just as you descibed.
