Camshaft setting front seal - two options?

Every reference to "ARS" came back associated with Alibaba. NOS should be referencing "new old stock". I'd go with #1 although would not be surprised if they supplied a #2. Stike that... I see now it was NOK not NOS :) Sorry. Well, the Alibaba references bother me still.

    Upgrading and Maintaining

[/ATTACH] beautuful. Thank you. You said that in the first post... I followed the link and missed it. Thanks for repeating until I saw it :)

    Upgrading and Maintaining

I like the drill guide solution very much. Here are pictures of what I tried this morning... I took my drill press off the work bench and mounted on a pedestal (normally used for polisher, and bolted to the ground): Then I attempted to roll the engine and transmission under it... It does...

    Air Conditioning Question

I searched for an hour yesterday and found a three page document. Model 220. Remember pitching the four plastic mounting brackets thinking they were from something shipped on a pallet. I should know better than to throw stuff away. Could find nothing that looks like a controller. I’m going...

    Upgrading and Maintaining

I did the mod freehand with my head off and got six of them right. The one I messed up I had to drill out and install an “e z loc” (I think was the name). It has a larger outside diameter and the same target inside. To drill this I bought a bench mounted drill press. That fixed it. Now, as...

    CPS install confusion

That’s funny. I’m all for opening old threads if it fits, but your response is 12 years later :)

    Air Conditioning Question

My setup was purchased with a new radiator in 2006, so no chance I got a newer model. I’ve been reading all the bad things about electric fans on Supras and general advice seems to be “don’t”. Further, the Flex-a-lite is called out by name. Not a good start. The whole car wiring was impacted...

    Air Conditioning Question

15 years wasn't good enough for you, so you bought the upgraded model the second time? lol The radiator is in the way until the engine is in, and I have just gotten around to test fitting it (and the fans) recently. I hadn't expected that complexity in the wiring. I think what I'm hearing is...

    Air Conditioning Question

Without either of the components reinstalled have I just killed the idea of keeping my A/C? I am using a Flex-a-lite electric twin fan and it covers the full radiator surface. There is also no room in front on the radiator. It’s like they really have to go.

Mk3 ABS Manual Trigger (for bleeding brakes)

Good job. Nice write up. Thanks!

    My long-running Supra build thread

Little jobs worked on this week. #1 on the list was the hole in the floor that I burned mounting anti-submarine seat belt points. The hole started out about the size of a quarter... done with my TIG welder. Tried filling by building up the edges, then made a patch panel that let me burn an even...

    7M bearing choices

I get you. It's a logical place to ask and someone will probably reply. On the other hand, there's a catalog with the numbers in it at the link provided :)

    7M bearing choices

I just tried to get it for you by Googl'ing "NDC Engine Bearing for Japanese Vehicles Catalogue" You have to sign up for a "scribd" account to get the file... and I didn't care to do so. Amazon searches for "ndc rod bearings" with a filter for the car, changes the brand name in the results...

    My long-running Supra build thread

Only proud of my weld to the extent that I did not burn up my pipe. The replacement tube I ordered had a 3" OD, and this original pipe had a 3" ID, so I slipped a piece of that inside before welding. I did not back-purge. This was the piece that I removed 1 1/2" from as a result of having the...
