Hey, I was wondering what the symptoms are for a blown engine. Right now, it only starts and stays started when i press on the gas a little bit. As soon as I take my foot off the gas it dies. When it's running it is very rough. It happened while I was driving, the engine started shaking and then there was hardly any power to the wheels. It takes a few seconds in second gear to get from 2000 to 3000 rpm. And then after it happened, and I was just trying to get home, the engine shut off. Now I'm getting a little bit of white smoke from the exhaust and the intake manifold.

Maybe it's just a hose blew off, but not likely. I know when I blew my headgasket I had tons and tons of white smoke, not just a little. Good luck!

Great job^^^^^^^^Hopefully it's something easy and cheap to fix. I know that sounds like a wild dream, but trying to stay positive. He may need all the moral support that he can find. That's the only kind of support I can give since I have no financial support to offer.

Thanks, but in a BHG situation, doesnt the car overheat quickly? And I'm not losing any coolent and there are no gurgling sounds from behind the dash. And I dont have the white smoke pouring from my exhaust, its just a little bit of it and its after the car is shut off.

I passed all the ones except for the Cylinder to cylinder one. I apparently need to do a leak down test before I can determine what it is. But that would be kind of difficult because my car doesnt stay started. It turns on but slowly dies out.

NA->T is the easiest thing in the world if you buy a harness and all the sensors. Everyhting just plugs right in. I can also help ya out with the tach fix, also easy as hell, and cheap.
