If I had the skills I'd step up to the plate and make pipes like cooleeze. They look good, they have good features, but getting them, their price, installing them, and having them leak free is another story.

Also, I don't think this is the section for this...

the lipp is not chrome coated like the cooleeze, but i suppose I can paint them myself.

im going to pray to god that you honestly wouldnt buy a product based on the color of it.... chrome coated? havent you heard of spray paint!

and if you want IMHO the highest quality kit thats offered for the supra right now, check out ETS.

and sorry they dont got that "chrome" on them.... :3d_frown:
but maybe gloss silver will do? they'll polish them for $150 though.

Think he means the polished ceramic coating...

which is extra. ceramic coating isnt that expensive... im sure theres a local person who will do it for you.

i fail to see how you would rather spend money on cooleze, when a company like LIPP makes a product that gives you more options, better material, lighter, will last longer, and looks better. and did i mention that it has like 4 couplers in the whole system?...

people need to open there eyes up and look around and see that the MK3 has good stuff, and actually has vendors that SUPPORT their products. i havent heard a good thing about cooleeze in the past 3 years...
where as lipp and suprasport have nothing but a great rep around here, especially the parts they make.

I have Cooleeze ceramic coated IC pipes and I don't like them. They don't fit very well, are a pain in the ass to install, the welds are huge and not ground down, the pipe before the throttle body is poorly designed and they are heavy. I spent the money on them because they looked good in pics and I wanted a bolt on kit. I swear it would have been easier and looked better to make my own.

Buy the LIPP or a universal kit, then have them coated.

First...thanks for the kind words about LIPP and SupraSport

Second...the LIPP kit is made from aluminum...dont chrome them just polish them, I am having the set on my car done in a few weeks and the will be mirror quality with not a trace of chrome or plating
lmk if you have more questions

Well guys, is there really a need for better IC pipes? I've no problem getting a set produced for us.

Instead of cut/welded, though, I'd like to see straight 1 piece mandrel bent tubing ;)

have you seen the LIPP piping? theres one pipe from the TB to the fender, and then one pipe from the fender to the IC. and then also one pipe from the outlet of the turbo to the IC... its about as simple, clean, neat as you could get. and its mandrel bent...

but i wouldnt mind seeing your own twist on the piping, seeing what you did with the brakes is just amazing in its self, and im sure everybody loves supporting your projects that benefit everybody.

Make it come with a cheap ebay intercooler or something too ;). I plan on upgrading to hardpipes and a better intercooler soon. I'll be purchasing the ETS system soon (but 850 dollars crikes), if you can come up with something awesome first I'd rather patronize you or atleast see what ya come up with.

Well, without looking too much into it, I could probably see about a IC + pipes + connectors, as a full kit - but that'd probably be around ~$550 for the entire set.

I'll do some research, see what I can figure out :)

I'd stay away from the ETS kit for the following reasons:

(1) Poor customer support. They pretend like they are concerned if you have a problem, but never act on any resolution.

(2) Passenger headlight will no longer close due to poor ETS plumbing design. I confronted ETS about this and their response was "the owner" doesn't see any need to redesign the kit. Their solution to the design flaw is to remove your headlight bezel and drive around looking like a beater with an owner that could give a shit.

(3) ETS was a Vendor Member here, but after editing and deleting threads questioning their sales and support tactics apparently are no longer a Vendor Member here. Comes as no surprise to me...

I have a lengthy email dialog back and forth with ETS I am willing to share with anyone considering ETS. When I get the time I plan on dedicating an entire website outlining my ETS experience.

I spared no expense with my ETS purchase; 4" Core, Stainless, etc, but even then they were not interested in resolving the problems with their kit.

On the positive side the 4" core is pretty nice and bolts up correctly, but it does require cutting the crash bar. Something ETS also failed to mention.

Here is a picture of the passenger headlight. Gotta love the beater look of no headlight bezel. You'd think $1500 would get you a kit that was designed and plumbed correctly.

One of their excuses was all aftermarket IC kits for the 7MGTE required the headlight bezel to be removed including the HKS kit. I quickly disproved their claim as the kit removed from my car to make way for the ETS kit was an HKS kit! Tom with ETS really is an ignorant putz!

The car needs a bath. I've been planning on posting more pictures of the ETS kit installed after a wash, but have been too busy with work lately.

No offence to LIPP, ETS, or other people that make the piping the way they do, but I think it looks like crap. The HKS setup looks really good as well, and it's because it's not one piece from the fender to the throttle body...

My personal opinion, but I don't like it that way, just wish I could remember the member on the forum that had a custom set that was setup about the same way as the cooleeze but fit better and had proper hold-down brackets for the fender part and the 3000 pipe...
