I just installed a harness bar into my JZA70 on friday. Ill go try and see if I can find the camera and take a few pics. Also if you're looking for a good place to buy one I picked up mine from Grimsta (Zankoku Performance in the vendor section) and had amazing and fast service.

I've seen it both ways, but have read more often that the "proper way" should be crossed. Just wondering, since I've just read it.

did you actually READ it?

"For the best restraint of the occupant’s upper torso, anchor points should not be further back than 200 mm [8”] from back of user’s seat.

In the event that the anchor points are further towards the rear of the vehicle [e.g. using a roll cage bar for wrap around attachment] the distance between the strap anchorages will narrow or even cross over as described in following graphs and formulas."

its says its should be crossed if its further than 8 inches... but the harness bar was made just for that... the harness.

That's what I gained from it also, they only cross if the attachment point is further than 8"from the back of the seat.

same thing i got from it too... my TMS one is like 8 1/2-9 inches but thats cuz my ass is short (5'6'') so i have to sit just a little closer to the steering wheel than the rest of ya:biglaugh:. i just make sure my lap is nice and tight and i wont go anywhere

also i have the sparco 4 way harness with the 2'' straps. i love them so comfortable

do either the Titan or Zankoku harness bars allow access/use of the rear seats, or would installing the bar basically make the car a two seater?

i would guess you COULD still use them but as you probably saw on the first page my back seats were already gone in this case... but by the look you probably could and ive heard that you can still have access to the back seat with the bar in.

I couldn't really tell by the pics, but did you have to do any cutting of the interior plastic to install the harness bar? just wondering thinking about getting one in the future.

Shouldn't have to cut anything, bolts to shoulder belt mount and IIRC one of the lap belt holes.
