hey everyone,

I have a 1988 supra with a A/T and I lucked out on getting a R154 5 speed that im going to swap into it. I want to get a 5 speed rear end to, to match up with the new transmission. I know there are two types of LSD's the 87-88 3.91 and the 89-92 3.73. My question is will the 3.73 bolt right in without any problems. a relative of mine who was a mechanic back in the day said he couldnt remeber exactly but the rear end may be a different size and the tow arm may not match up.

thanks for the help

All of the MA70 diffs swap straight across. The only thing you need to change is the speedometer drive gear in the transmission (well, there's a little bit more to it than that if you want the speedo/odo dead on, but swapping the drive gear is usually enough for most people).
