I recommend trying to do so near a military post/base, more specifically an Army Post that has a unit that just returned from Iraq or Afganistan.

I've had some crazy offers lately, and the people have the money to back the offers up.

Well that's also a healthy car...........:biglaugh:

That's a genius idea.

So genius, that I almost want to drop my Supra off at the military base nearby and see what kind of offers I get.
...... Even with NO intentions of selling the car. :)

Mark, that's a finders fee right there.......:biglaugh:

I don't think I can do it, I have too much invested

I don't know how much you have invested in your car, but I don't think you'll ever get an offer like that again. Seriously, think back at all of the MKIII big dogs that has sold their cars... did they ever get 19K? At least you recoup some of your money back. I dunno... that's just me.

You're only viewing this from one dimension here.

Think - 10 years down the road.
Do you really think there are going to be as many nice A70's out there in 10 years than there are now? Highly doubtful.
Between wrecked, rusted, molested, parted out & crushed Supra's...
I'm pretty sure the typical "Private Sale" value is going to go up by the thousands just within years to come.
Of course, I'm speaking for the mint and properly treated Supra's here.

Besides, If you really want to pop your head above the clouds of a majority of the guys on here that have really dedicated some serious time and money to their cars (ie. Ian, Duane, Nate, Bryan, etc) ...
Sometimes that big dollar amount that's offered to them just is not worth what time and money they've invested.

Hell, if someone offered me over 8k for my car when it is all said and done, I will be looking at it very seriously. Not saying that I would get out of supras, just would go about one in a very different way, possibly something making over 400whp NA, and more on the bottle.

IIRC, I have about 30K invested. The car shows nicely and it's very, very clean. There aren't any rattles or squeaks, so it rides well too.

Also, the point of all this is that the dudes coming back from long deployments have saved a lot of money and they are looking to spend it. Foolishly maybe, but it's very tempting...
