thats what i was thinking i was thinking of, striping it down to bare bones, but in a roll cage, strip the engine bay and stuff in a turbo charged v6 for drag racing but i need to know the dimensions of the diff engines and stuff if i could atm im waiting on info from engine bay size from another forums xD

just to clarify, you DO know that a 2jz (along with all the other motors offered in a supra) are an INLINE six cylinder configuration, right?

Not a v-6...

If you intend to go drag racing, you need to pick another car.
If you intend to go road racing, you need to pick another engine.
If you seriously intend to go through the hassle (and expense) of importing a car into the untied states to bring over a Suzuki Cappuccino, you need to get your head tested.

I understand wanting to be different, but a bad idea is a bad idea, no matter how unique it is.

whats the problem with it? they're REALLY nice little cars and i have approval of quiet a few ppl who think this would be a very fun project i fully intend to import and do this as a time killer and a fun weekend runner. these cars are very light and fast and can hold alot of potential.

i finely have the engine bay dimensions

the numbers are in MM :/

if all needed i am willing to really modify the firewall
ive done some strange engine swaps w/ my dad in the past before

There's a lot of dimensions that say probably not beyond the length.

I don't think it's going to be wide enough from that drawing...strut tower bolt to tower bolt is only about 27 inches...count on losing 4 inches for the steel on the towers themselves, and a little more between the frame rails.

With 2.5 feet of length (rough guess, the measure to the weld point of the A pillar is 3 feet, and it's well behind the firewall), the engine might fit, but a rad isn't with accessories like a water pump...Sure the firewall could be modded, but you'll practivally have the EGR cooler in your lap, and the shifter will be in the trunk if you use a supra manual gearbox...at least you can ignore the driveshaft as you should be able to weld the tailshaft to the diff's input shaft :D

Doing some quick triangle math based on the diagram, at the rad support, there is 547mm of clearance from the hood level to the bottom of the frame rail. That in itself looks like it might be enough (I don't have my car here to check for you), and you don't have the clearance from the rail to the road listed. Once you know that, you can measure the engine and have a good idea what you are going to need, or whether it's possible at all. That said, a friend who used to swap V8's into MGB's measured mine once and said it was way too tall to fit there, and the cappucino appears to be every bit as short as the MG ever was...

lol thank you for ur opinon i may have to opt for the smaller 4 cylinder nissan SR20DET i wont really know until i have my friend order the car and see the engine bay for my self lol but it sounds like i could barely squeeze it in there, another issue is width of the engine w/ turbos on it, i also need to find out the distance from the engine to where the shifter housing should be if need it be i can move the engine way forward and extend the nose maybe, i can custom fabricate a whole new front end, it may help hold the front down a bit too. thats my biggest worry is lifting the front end since its such a short light car
