OK was changing my fog lights today beacuse they were old and nasty looking. Plus they didn't work. So i put in the new fog lights and they don't turn on. Took the bulb and hooked it straight to the battery to see if it worked and it did. Used a multi meter and checked if the fog light wire had power to it. Well it did but the fog lights still will not work. Any ideas about how to fix this?
Thanks alot
Brian

stupid question, but did you make sure to check both plugs and clean up all connections?

Power for the lights is 1/3 of what you need. Do what clip said and clean the socket. You must also have ground, or the light will not illuminate.

both plugs? There is only one plug that comes off the light and one plug that it plugs into. I checked the plug from the body harness and checked that one with the multimeter.

reach back, if i remember right the ground plug is about 4 or 5 inches behind the first plug.

the light itself plugs into the harness, and then i think the harness also has a plug or a wire that connects to the housing, like you said.

I'm using aftermarket lights...I ran the ground wire to the chassis connected with a self tapping screw.
